The End *SP* (obviously) (Destiny)

I just (finally) finished the story missions last night and I thought it was not a bad end, overall, could've been better, but definitely not bad (and to be clear, I consider the ending to be the last level, especially the later parts, and the stuff that follows on from it). I have two questions though. Firstly, was it randomly generated, or my placement, or does it specifically spawn butterflies right in your face after the heart dies? Secondly, is it true the other versions (I'm on the 360) have actual credits instead of this "go to bungie.net" thing?

That was probably where you where standing.

man, what the fuck
How is this acceptable for a released game, and how is it not there after a month, and how has it not even been addressed?

You're actually the first person I've seen mention it. I guess they have bigger fish to fry right now? IDK.
I thought there was a "credits" button or something on the map or in a menu after you beat the game. Does the PS3/PS4/Xbox One do it differently? Are the credits even in the game for Xbox 360?
This is really odd... and I've not noticed it before. :\

I'm so confused. I finished the story last night as well - at least I thought I did. Black garden, heart, tower, exo stranger, her rifle... Then back to orbit. No credits or anything, it left me really confused - did I actually finish the story? Where were the credits? I actually look forward to credits in a game. Where's Paul's song??
Also on 360. Help?

I saw this, and I saw hoping people missed how to access them and I just didn't catch wind of it, or it had been patched, but that's what it is: the little Bungie seal/crest/whatever in the lower right corner gets filled in. If you hover on it and press A (or X on PlayStation), and then select Launch and wait 3 seconds, a credits thing pops up. On most consoles this takes you to the credits. On the Xbox 360 version, this isn't the actual credits, it's just a message that thanks everyone involved and tells you to go to bungie.net for the full credits-- and not even a specific section or page, and they're not up front and nothing seems like an obvious place to have them, so they might as well have said "Google 'Destiny credits' for full credits". Oh, and the icing on the cake? That search does bring up a bungie.net page.

Coming soon!
(The "ne" there looked kind of odd, so I tried that with "en" for English instead, but I got the same thing.)
If I worked on this game, I would, at the very least, be upset I'm not getting credited consistently.
I really doubt I'll watch the credits until they're in the actual game.

More evidence for the game being rushed out the door before it was ready.

How many Discs does the title come with? Is there a mandatory install? Sounds like a storage issue to me. The BD drive on the PS3 is it's one real advantage over the 360.
That song is the worst credits song ever though, so consider yourself lucky. I wish they had taken it out of the PS4 version as well (The credits are pretty though!)

The game is restricted to always-online
by ZackDark , Not behind you. NO! Don't look., Sunday, October 12, 2014, 09:25 (3933 days ago) @ Numinar
I mean, whoever gets to play it, necessarily has to download all the patches and updates. That's pretty much a mandatory installation. Why not pack it in the Day 1 patch?

Potential storage sizes vary for all major consoles. This wouldn't be an issue of "Console X has less storage, lets not put credits on their harddrives.

I don't see how that negates the possibility of a storage limitation. "Varies" isn't the same thing as "can be literally any number." There are known minimums and maximums, and of the 4 consoles Destiny released on, the 360 is the ONLY one which is limited to standard DVDs. The PS3, PS4, and XBone all use Blu-Ray, which at a minimum can hold over well over 5 times as much data (it's nearly 6).
It does seem odd that the credits would be a major factor in saving space, but I supposed it could be that they just happened to be short by an amount of space equal (or close) to what those would have taken up.
Someone mentioned putting them in an update. I suppose that could be doable. Might be better to do a separate download (free DLC?) in case some players don't have the extra room on their hard drive. Personally, I think I would have tried to stream them. Maybe that ends up taking up a lot of bandwidth, though.
Licensing issues...?
by Monochron, Sunday, October 12, 2014, 09:35 (3933 days ago) @ Fuertisimo
There have been a couple threads about it. It super weird. Best guess is stupid licencing issues for McCartney's song.

Licensing issues that only apply to the 360? That seems... odd.

More likely explanation
by Cody Miller , Music of the Spheres - Never Forgot, Sunday, October 12, 2014, 19:34 (3932 days ago) @ Monochron
Disc Space.
360 is the only one of the four to use DVD as a medium. The credits are in fact a video file. The most likely explanation is simply there was not enough space to include the credits.
I'd love to have video of the motion art around the credits

Sorry for piggybacking with a random idea, but it wasn't worth creating its own thread for in my opinion.
The other day/week I thought about how much I'd love to have a video of just the art that goes on around and behind the credits to set as my desktop background (without the credit roll). I think it would be really cool. Not trying to take away the credits or the creators, I just think the art in motion would be fun to adorn my wallpaper with.
