Exotic bounty randomness is INFURIATING! (Destiny)

Can't relate to the nothing to aim for feeling. I've got the other problem. So many things to aim for that I don't know where to focus my energy. One thing I never aim for, though, is for the RNG to be nice for me. Saves me from a lot anger.

Just out of curiosity, with 90 hours put in, what are you aiming for now? Just having fun in the Crucible or something?

I'm a 27.

I treat the Crucible as practice. I suck at it, so I don't care about winning. Every kill is a victory for me, even postmortems, which are the most consistent kills I get. I do like control and salvage, because I can be a decent defender at times. I'm hoping to be better once I get the invective shotty, maybe even venture into the Iron Banner. I recently hit gold tier on my own against a fallen walker, so I'm trying to get gold tier solo when I have the opportunity. The kill the target events are tough, though!

I've got weapons and armor to upgrade. I'm not happy with my helmet, so I'm hoping to get something I like eventually. I want to get to Vanguard 3. I want an exotic fusion rifle. I'd like to take that on a Raid and shoot oracles with it.

What I'm enjoying the most right now is strikes and story missions, which is what I've always liked. On lower difficulties I'm really exploring. Otherwise, I'm just trying new things, harder difficulties, and speed runs. I like bounties where I have a target. I used to try to kill everything, but now I try to get in and out, like a ninja.

There are many gold chests I haven't gotten yet, and no doubt plenty of ghosts, so I treat patrols like mapping missions, too, where I try to see every inch of terrain. Cuts down on the need to "farm," too.

I'm treating the investment system like a mini-game, and try to put most of my thought into what I'm going to do most efficiently up front, so it's in kind of set it and forget it mode while I play. Also, I'm treating my warlock as the patriarch of a family, and he is setting aside gifts to bequeath to his wife and daughter once they are ready.
