If another player is below you and uses their jump skill to double jump or slow their decent, you can actually kill them if you fall on top of them and hit them too hard…

I did this to LordOwen during the raid as we were traversing down the side of the Gorgon's Lair. He double jumped, and I landed on top and crushed him, only to them die myself when I hit the ground.

So uh, watch for that if you're trying for flawless raider.

does flawless raider work like the same strike achievement/bounties? can you get the aetheon checkpoint, go to orbit, come back and defeat atheon and get the achievement even though you might have died several times along the way?

Sadly yes. (or so I am told. I'd only ever try the real way).

Are you saying it's possible the real way? Vid or it didn't happen.

I think if everybody knows it inside and out, and you do it on normal when you are 29/30, then yeah I guess it's possible. I said that before any of us found good strategies :-p

I don't believe there's a way to cheat this. When someone joins the raid fireteam, they spawn dead. If it's the final checkpoint, they spawn outside of the door. When my raid teams had someone disconnect and rejoin from orbit, we've had to intentionally wipe to get everyone back.

I don't think Sched was talking about doing it like that, he was just implying you could get TO Atheon and then everyone go to orbit and come back. Then (since it's on hard) you will all get the Flawless Raider achievement as long as you beat him. You could even go up to orbit as a party every time you wipe to make sure your deaths don't count. This way when you beat Atheon it'll show as 0 deaths in the activity summary screen, which from what I've heard is what it looks at to award the achievement, although I have no solid proof on it yet.
