PSN kinda sucks (Destiny)
like seriously can they keep a network up for more than 3 days?

Does their online portal still blow too?
Last year I registered on PSN to secure my handle (had to roll with double Oh's...zeros were already taken :ugh:) when I was of the mind to get a PS4 over an Xbone. At the time (and still?) it turned out that you needed an actual PoS device to do most actions, including adding some ma' freakin' friends. Yes, that's right, you couldn't manage your friends list on their website.
At that point I went running and crying back to my 360, where I still sit and wonder about which next-gen console to get. Doesn't help that GTA5 is the only game which (will) allows you to port your character across networks, while Destiny "can't"*. I have no desire to restart a new set of characters.
* - More than likely due to publishing contracts. Will be interesting to see how a possible PC version of the game handles this.

Actually this time it totally wasn't PSN. The Storefront and stuff was working fine.
But the maintenance and stuff is kind of a nuisance. Dont know why they cant schedule it for overnight.

There's more to the globe than the United States, you know.

Maybe they did schedule it for overnight....in Japan.
Where Sony is #1.
USA! USA!
Companies roll out fixes and updates in staggered groups based on timezone all the time. If my dad's little EPoS firm has the manpower to organise that, I'm sure Sony do.
Besides, Im actually UK, which is the centre of the universe ;)

There probably are more units in the States that Japan. We're bigger and Japan is all about handhelds now. Just saying, not that Sony necessarily cares, but I'm sure Kaz keeps that in mind at least.
Up for me but the D don't function without a friends list.
Game logged in fine last night, but couldn't do weekly because friends were missing from the roster in game and in the XMB or whatever it's called these days.
Worlds still seem to be populated, did the daily roamed about and got the 3 events, patrol and 200 boars bounties before switching over to Mordor on the PC. Would have happily spent the whole night on if PSN worked properly.
It really feels like the consoles have taken a step back in this realm compared to 360. Not mentioning stability, features such as friends requests, reporting and game invites should be able to be done from the roster without any console UI involved, nice and slick please.
