If True, this is a bad decision (Destiny)

There are indications that the DLC is going to raise the level cap to 32, and getting there will work the same way as getting to 30 now: Raid gear.
I think a better option is to simply have more options for getting to 30, and not raise the cap.
Also if not for the raid, there appears to be very little content. Again, this is not confirmed, but my expectations are low as of now for non-raid content.
It is supposedly 3 story missions, 3 strikes, and a raid.

3 story missions, 1 strike, and some PvP maps.
And I'm sure there will be tons of mega-cool loot and bounties. a.k.a. filler content

Didn't you quit Destiny, the forum, or both?
Hasn't this already been discussed to death?

I just don't get posting opinions about a game you don't play anymore to a community you don't care about.
Maybe I missed something. And for that I'm maybe sorry.
I play PvP on occasion. The raid is fun too, but you can only go through it so many times before it becomes rote.
I stopped playing other parts of the game until/unless they improve, but I am still interested in the game, and specifically in the changes Bungie is making, so I keep up to date on them and I come here to talk about them when I have something to say.
I'm not taking the community bait. Let the record show that you brought it up.

Be nice to car. He had fun once, and it was ok.

I'm fairly certain that a glitch showed a Raid for the DLCs.

I believe so. I was listing the content that will be made available in addition to the raid. Cody's saying there will be 3 strikes - I've heard that there might be 2, but I don't know where the third one is coming from. There's definitely at least one.

I'm interested to see how this will work as well, regarding the level cap.
I know that are going to have to raise it, but how they go about that could be very different than how, say, WoW does it.
I also think this could be a source of much frustration. Will raising the cap make my curretn exotics obsolete?
Will rank be added to them?
Was all of this pointless?
Will I care once I get my hands on the MCC?

I think those are all good questions. It's entirely possible that the cap will stay where it is, but the Raid on hard will be level 32. Essentially, a true hard mode since you will always do half damage :-) That's the best option!

that sounds plausible. Otherwise the VOG will get to be pretty easy with level 32s running around. Maybe there will be 5 sec Atheon kills :)

I can see it now: Atheon's going to see all those 32s charging into the Vault and decide to just jump off the cliff to save himself the trouble.
Oh, wait…

Leveling up seems entirely pointless to me unless it is tied to new skills, which it doesn't seem to be past level 20. So if they're raising the cap even higher through raid gear, I assume that just means adding numbers to stats without changing the way I play the game at all. Kind of pointless.

That would be exciting. But the way it is set up now, it has nothing to do with the levels. I just switched over from Bladedancer to the other Hunter subclass (Gunslinger?) a couple days ago, and now I have to start from scratch on skills, but I remain level 23 the whole time. Not that I actually want to go back to level 1, but I have no desire to level further. In fact, I'm just assuming that increasing Light levels boosts hit points and damage, for all I know it could do absolutely nothing.

Gunslinger is a lot of fun. I really like the final upgrade that gives you two throwing knives.
As for levels, it's not about hit points at all. It's about returning to an even playing field. When an enemy is higher level than you it will do more damage to you and take less from you depending on how many levels apart you and it are. Once you get equal to an enemy's level you will only do and take 1x damage from it, no matter how much higher your level increases. This lets high level enemies be extra dangerous without making it so you ruin your lower leveled friend's fun by being an unstoppable god who gets all the kills.

In no world is two throwing knives better than a stackable reload speed buff on kill :-p
you sure bout that?

I have a legendary hand cannon with a 12 round magazine. If I somehow fire off all 12 shots and my enemies aren't dead I'll reload when I am. (It also has speed reload on empty... but the same philosophy applies.) :)
The extra knife though, that'll surprise the heck out of a Crucible opponent!

If I didn't almost always without fail miss with the knife I would agree.
But like all the hunter abilities, when you DO land that stuff it feels SO good. I feel kinda of bad for anyone I Golden Gun, Arc Blade or Knife yet at the same time, they are the easiest abilities to avoid. Like the cape, not practical but SO AWESOME!
I really want to level a Titan with the Bubble Shield, as I already have some good leg. gear along with a Saint-14 helm for him. I'm sure at some stage I will get sick of hunter and do that but not sure if it will happen before the EXP.
