Grows more accurate the longer it is fired... Really? (Destiny)

Because I just activated this perk on an "Unwilling Soul" and aiming it is still impossible. Even when you've pumped out 71 of the rounds in the chamber... I have absolutely no idea where that last round will end up.
During beta, this mod was incredibly effective, but right now I'm seeing zero effect on this AR. Can someone confirm that it works on at least one gun?

I had a Hex Caster with this perk, and it made a noticeable difference. The perk isn't as good as it seems, because you aren't really firing for long uninterrupted periods a lot of the time.

Ahh, so it's elapsed time, not number of bullets? That effectively makes the Unwilling Soul worthless, since it's a bullet hose that can unload those 72 rounds in less than 3 seconds.

Correct. Hold down the trigger and keep it held. It will grow more accurate. Stop firing, and the process starts again.
Just under 5 seconds, actually

100% RoF on Auto Rifles is 15 rounds per second, 1round every 2 frames.
Still not that a useful perk, mind.

I notice a difference on my Shadow Price with Persistence. IMHO it's much more useful in PvE than PvP since you are pretty much dead already by the time it makes a difference.

That's even worse - if I'm paying Crucible Marks for a weapon, it should be geared towards PvP.

There isn't really a PvP/PvE split towards effectiveness.
Shadow Price is a Vanguard weapon - great in Crucible. 77 Wizard is a Crucible weapon - I hear it tears up the Praetorians.
Raid Gear gives you the highest possible advantage (even if it's small) in Iron Banner.
Get a random drop, or rep-level rewards drop with different modifiers and it can totally change how useful a weapon is.

All true.
I guess my disappointment comes from the fact that this effect is not noticeable in the slightest on the gun, presumably because it empties its mag so quickly. In Crucible, it does 11 damage per hit, which is atrocious. PLUS it handles like a raging bull. On top of that, the perk that seemed like it would make the weapon useful is actually behaving like a wasted slot. It's very disappointing. I feel like I just threw away 150 crucible marks.

11 Impact isnt actually an issue - AR DpS is the same across the bar. The poor stability is more of a problem.
BUT, the high magazine size makes it great for PvE. My Doctor Nope suffers from the same bullet-hose problem, but for PvE (especially against bosses and other large enemies) it's great.

You think the normal Shadow Price is scary? Wait til you see one drop with a Stability upgrade and a Reload Speed upgrade. Terrifying.
Sadly, my friend got it rather than myself.

Mine has max magazine size and reload speed upgrade. It's a steady stream of death.
