I can confirm that The Last Word with stability upgrade and gunslinger's trance is devastating in crucible.

Gunslinger's Trace is great, but in Crucible I find Chain of Woe to be even better. After a kill, being able to reload more quickly in case you get in another fight right away is mega helpful.

You can equip both at the same time. That's what I do, but equipping gunslinger's trance does take away scavenger, so grenades aren't as quick to recharge.
