I saw some things happen today I hadn't seen before in the game; thought I'd float them out to see if they're new or I just missed 'em.

Least importantly, I saw the aurora borealis in the Cosmodrome skybox this evening. Grabbed some video; may render it over to YouTube if I can remember my login there.

Also in the Cosmodrome, I managed to hijack a Pike from a gang of Dregs while patrolling; rode it over to the Divide to help gold-star a takedown of a Spider Tank, and great fun to drive as always. I'd seen them on the Moon, but never on Earth...

Over on Venus I found a spot on the map I hadn't noted available before; a staircase behind the two sentry Minotaurs you find on the big bridge in the Terminus. If you climb those stairs you go quite a distance before getting to an area called the Junction, with lots of baddies and a big spherical room with a column made of the same shields that Hydras use to block shots. It looked to be a pair counter-rotating but in the time I watched them no gaps formed.

I recall seeing it in either the Alpha or Beta... Haven't looked up at the sky in a good while, though...

They show up in the Forgotten Shore in place of events sometimes. Keep an eye on the event schedule.

I loved that area, but was a bit letdown that I didn't find to do anything beyond those Vex. I had just assumed it was future DLC area.

I loved that area, but was a bit letdown that I didn't find to do anything beyond those Vex. I had just assumed it was future DLC area.

It is a future DLC area. You have to do a bunch of tricky jumps to get to a part of that elevator that will actually let you in and take you up; but even if you get up there it is empty for now (no enemies, and even the hidden ghosts don't actually unlock a grimoire card like they're supposed to).

All the things you have mentioned have been in for as long as we have been able to find it (In other words... if we could get to it in alpha and so forth it has been there. I talk about the Pikes in my first Alpha war story.)

Next time you open the doors to the Ishtar collective, look at the bones before you go down the stairs. There are stories hidden in Destiny, you just have to know where to look.
