Prologue, the VFX company the created the prologue for Destiny (or what ever you wish to call it), recently was interviewed about its creation. For those of you who marvel at what can be done when you don't have to render real time 30+ frames a second (or just like pretty computer graphics), this is for you.

That was great! One thing I missed in the final cut was the raindrops on the astronaut's visor. Also, the tricorn in the shoe tread is a nice touch.

Cool! I'm not sure why but I was always confused by the time lapse sequence. Reading this I finally understood what it was meant to convey. Did everyone else get that it was a time lapse meant to convey that the astronauts landed far away from the Traveler? To me it conveyed that we were seeing some kind of alternate reality version of the events.

Also, the lander looks a lot like a SpaceX Dragon capsule to me.
