Really, Xur? *img* (Destiny)
Bought Voidfang Vestments (21 light, 108 strength) from Xur last week after being unable to grab enough Strange Coins for Suros Regime(thanks RNG!).
Lo and behold, he's selling Voidfang Vestments again. And they're tremendously better.
This is not how you make players feel good about your game.

Same thing with the Armamentarium. He's selling it for the third week in a row, this time with even more Discipline than last week (which was already more than the week before).

I picked that up the first time around, and my Discipline is at 100%. I'm guessing you can't get higher then that, cause well 100%.
Sure, these gloves have +20 to a statistic, but will that matter at all, or are we getting hung up on the number?

It depends on a couple factors:
(1) Your level. The higher your character level, the more discipline you need to maintain that 100%discipline rating. I believe it's something like 230-250 discipline needed at level 30 to have 100% effectiveness.
(2) Your other gear. If your helmet, gauntlets, and boots all give discipline as well, then sure, 5 or 20 extra discipline on your chest piece probably won't make a difference. But, with the wide range of stats your other armor may have in three different categories, that +20 could make a quite noticeable difference in balancing and/or maxing out your stats efficiently.

Uh, I have that chest from last week, and the one he's selling this week has less discipline. In fact I think it's the same stats as it was from the first week he sold it.
So.....meh?

They did this last week to the Titans with their chest.
Your knee-jerk reaction is that it's tremendously better than the one you bought- it's not.
The difference is pretty negligible. At least, it was for my titan. My grenades didn't seem to cool down any faster with the slight boost in discipline or whatever.
IDK man. Getting upset about it seems pretty silly at this point. Everything is this game is random.

I bought it last week too and stuck it straight in my vault. Just double-checked and last week's has +131 Discipline and this week's has +136..
That said, while it is at least a little crappy that he's selling the same exact exotic chest piece three weeks in a row and that it has different stats each week, I do agree that it's not worth getting too worked up over.

To me, sounds like something no one would really notice in game. *shrugs* Besides, most of grenade throwing isn't how often per se but when and where.

Yeah, I agree. Plus with this chest the point is having overwhelming firepower tee'd up and ready to go. Who cares about 20 more Discipline when everything is friggin' dead?

Already have all those things he is selling :-/
That's two weeks in a row. I'm so rich with strange coins, yet there is nothing to spend them on!
Please have Hawkmoon or last word next time Xur.
FYI, patience and time is not as good as you would think.

Wear Jackolyte and Xur will have a new Halloween consumable

Aye, it was my first exotic and by far my least favourite!
An extra 10% is nothing to sniff at.
Bought the Armamentarium a second time last week, but the difference this week isn't as big of a jump, so I shant bother.
Voidfang I might have to repurchase. Sigh.

Really, Xur? *img*
Two things: Voidfang Vestments suck. No idea why it's an exotic, if the only thing worth mentioning is the extra Axion Bolt, which still has a very low kill rate. The Raid chest is honestly a better option, and even that is pointless once you have the Heart of the Praxic Fire...
And if you insist on having it for a little extra Discipline, then just look at the first one you bought as paying 13 coins for 3-5 Ascendant Shards, which, considering how hard they are to find outside the raid, isn't a terrible deal...

I bought it and ran a strike. Can't tell much difference between it and my Epitaph. Radar while zoomed is the biggest perk for me, but probably only really useful in PvP.
Tremendously better?

I assume this is sarcastic?

You don't play crucible huh Korny?
Spawning with grenades is crazy good, and it even stacks with gift of the sun.
Plus I like voidwalker more so while my Heart of Praxic fire is cool looking it doesn't benefit me.
Also axion bolt is really good i don't know why you are saying its useless.

Definitely useful. And I actually did take it into Crucible for a few rounds, to help with my Thorn bounty.

I have zero problem with Voidwalker (truth be told, it can actually be the more useful of the two because of its heavy damage/AOE approach to all situations, but for what it does, there's gotta be better pro-Voidwalker gear out there...

I didn't say that it was useless, just that spawning one extra bolt does not an Exotic make...
I used it a lot to figure out the quirks and perks, but very rarely got any significant damage out of it unless I was up against a lone Guardian. Void Grenade is much more useful in almost all scenarios...

With the perk that makes enemies explode from any ability Axion Bolt is ridiculously powerful in PvE, otherwise I agree it's a little underwhelming compared to the alternatives.

Bloom is so awesome.

Warlock cluster genade is so useless. I feel like I'm throwing sparklers at people.

Just sharded my Lucky Raspberry...
Cus Xur is selling a better one!
-16 Ascendant Shards. OUCH!

4 seconds...
According to this guy's calculation:

4 seconds...
Not sure if you're disagreeing or not, but 4 seconds is plenty of time, espexially on an Armamentarium. You can hold one in reserve for emergencies and do whatever you like with the other.
20 points can make more difference than you'd think.
Ive been using my Exotic armour to allow me to distribute points from other armour more evenly.
That Armamentarium upgrade let me swap out a Strength/Discipline Helm for a Strength/Intellect one, while keeping the same Discipline. I get my super 15% faster now, for the low cost of 13 coins.

Fully upgraded it now...
+157 Intellect. Highest I've seen.

4 seconds...
I bought it and upgraded it. I can tell a difference versus my old one. Not that big of a deal since I have plenty of coins.
So sad I missed out on it
Was too busy wasting coins on Halloween Cosmetics. Such a hoarder :/
