If I manage to at least do the Weekly Strike on 28, I think I'll grab that Truth
Truth Vs. Gjallahorn?
I was lucky enough to get Gjallahorn this past week so I'm hesitant to immediately abandon it for a different rocket. Truth's "aggresive tracking" sounds better than Gjallahorn's "tracking" though, and the proximity detonation sounds useful as well.
Any thoughts on which is better or which use cases each has?

For both of these - better or worse then last time? (I hope I have enough coins >_>... still need to do weekly.)
Truth for PvP, Gjallahorn for making things disintegrate.

Exotic weapons dont change, so Truth is the same.
AFAIK at least.

Truth Vs. Gjallahorn?
I don't have Gjallahorn but Truth destroys in the Crucible. Even on Maps like First Light I can get snipers across the map easily. Pretty awesome!

Gjallarhorn is my favorite Exotic weapon. If the rocket doesn't kill the target, the wolfpack almost certainly will. And the damage for each of the submunitions can stack with both Weapons Of Light and Time's Vengeance, leading to moments like this. In Crucible, if the initial blast does kill a target and enemies are nearby, the pack will track them instead, and Triple Kills with a single shot are not uncommon in Control, where players tend to travel in packs. The best part is that even if you don't do lethal damage with the blast, escape isn't easy...
Truth does have some upsides, as even the most agile of enemies will have a very hard time shaking it once locked, especially with the proximity detonation... But I'd rather stick with damage output and a near-guarantee of kills in almost any scenario (A single Gjallarhorn shot will often kill a Nightfall Wizard, with the splash damage harming the others too).

Truth Vs. Gjallahorn?
truth is amazing. The aggressive tracking is ridonculous. And the proximity detonations are great. This weapon single handedly got me through the Void Damage portion of the Thorn Exotic Bounty.

For the love of all that is holy...hardcore Wizards are easily the worst PvE enemy. Totes jelly of Gjallahorn.

Worth getting Truth? Not sure if needed.

Right now I've got Hezen Vengence (solar) and Unfriendly Giant (void). Feel like the tracking won't do me much extra in PvE, and I don't play PvP enough to justify any purchase just for that game mode. Plenty of strange coins to snag Truth and whatever comes next week - worth picking up Truth?

I'd recommend the Hunter Helm
According to data I found from a poster on Reddit, it's only 2 off the maximum that Exotic helmets can be when un-upgraded.
The Titan chest is pretty poor, and the Sunbreakers are below par so I'd only get those if you haven't got them yet AND are swimming in coins and shards.

I enjoy Truth a lot as it's very much a fire and forget weapon. Truth has that to a certain degree, but I've noticed Wizards are much more likely to get away from my Gjallahorn shots than my Truth shots. If nothing else it's just a fun gun to use, I got it because of RNG, but I'd pick it up if for some reason I lost it.

Man after my own heart.
Last night, during Phogoth, Lawnmower and I were coming after some mook. Best I can tell, Lawnmower knifed the bastard right as I triggered shoulder charge, sending my Titan face first into a wall.
The best part? All Lawnmower sees is my Ghost pop up right in his face and my body ragdoll across the map. Literally did not see me until that moment.

I don't see this as a problem, at that rate when Last Word DOES come up, I can buy three :)

Might as well get the helm
Pretty sure it'll end up slighty better than the one you have after the upgrades.
I'd recommend the Hunter Helm
Definitely good stats on the hunter helm. My 3rd Man helm has only 76 Int... tempted to scrap it and buy this one for a 30 pt increase.

Gjallahorn is my go-to PvP heavy
Unless someone on the other team is rocking a Thorn. Then I switch to my Thorn and make them regret the decision of using it on my teammates. The Raid's rocket launcher (Hezen's Vengeance or w/e) is my fallback poor-man's-Gjallahorn in such cases (when I have to equip a different Exotic), which can be a plus since I can carry a total of 8 or 9 rockets for it using the Raid boots (can only carry 7 with Gjallahorn)
For PvE, I tend to only use Gjallahorn during the end of the Raid.

hopefully some hilarious deaths too
I was playing that strike and trying to complete the strike without dying bounty. I pulled out Truth to take down a wizard. Right then a knight came out of a door just to the side of me. As soon as the rocket launched, its proximity trigger picked up the knight. Even though there was nothing between me and the wizard, it blew up right in my face.
This happens in crucible too. Be careful when firing close to hallways and doors. I've had enemies run in and trigger it right as I fired. The blast radius is huge, so I get the kill, but I don't survive.

Guardian 1st world problems
It was a good weekend to buy plasma drives for my sparrows. Now I need to buy some rare sparrows.

I have a Timebreaker, but I bought the green drive anyway, because I'm RICH...
Gonna slap it on a rare Sparrow and give it to my second Warlock...

Sad but true

Guardian 1st world problems
I have been putting off buying a Rare Sparrow hoping that I would get one as a drop. I swear if I buy a sparrow AND a plasma drive for it only to get a legendary Sparrow later . . .

Pretty sure that the only Legendary Sparrow in the game is the Timebreaker, which you can only get from the Raid. If you're not too keen on doing the raid every week, the odds of even getting a rare sparrow drop seem pretty slim. I'd just go ahead and buy the rare Sparrow and the drive. I mean, what else are you gonna spend the marks/coins on?

That one sucks. Sunbreakers are good people.

Truth Vs. Gjallahorn?
Just FYI, Gjallarhorn also does proximity detonation when you don't ADS.
