Good way to farm the Pocket Infinity's final stage

Get 200 Kills with a Fusion Rifle in a Nightfall Strike

I was in a party chat with MasterNoodle and mentioned that i was on this stage. He said that I should go kill the vex in the Ishtar academy, bc they are level 28s.

So after everyone got off last night, i reloaded the nightfall and went to the Ishtar academy (the spot where you first encounter vex in the campaign). Vex and Fallen are fighting here, and they are all level 28. The kills counted towards my bounty.

I went into the area past the academy and killed the level 11 vex/fallen by the crashed fallen ship to refill my ammo, and went back, but they hadn't respawned yet. I guess the respawn time for this area is quite long, so i went to the n-gen are (where you have to kill the 3 servitors on the nexus strike) and it was full of level 28 vex.

After i had that room cleared out, i went back to the ishtar academy and the enemies had respawned there. I then ventured over to the Archive, but it was nothing but fallen, and was vry difficult to get kills there since they all dealt arc damage. So i just stuck with going back and forth between the 2 vex locations.

In all, i probably spent 30 minutes there (i had started with 80 kills that i had from doing the nightfall earlier), so if you did it from scratch, it would take you about 30-45 minutes. What slowed me down was that i didn't have an arc fusion rifle, so i was whittling down the vex with my atheon's epilogue, then finishing them off. on the Arc shielded harpies, i used an arc heavy machine gun to take their shields down, then switched to my fusion rifle.

TLDR: you can get the nightfall portion of the pocket infinity bounty by going to a public area with level 28 enemies.

I did this a couple of weeks ago when the nightfall was the Nexus strike. It's definitely one of the easiest ways to get the kills.

Good to know that any level 28 enemies during the nightfall strikes count. That should speed me through the remaining 90 or so kills that I have.

Those are more like private area instances. Only your Fireteam will get to fight in them; no randoms will waltz in and 'join' you in these areas. This is why the enemies in these areas are the same level as the mission you're playing on (and of course the modifiers of the mission should also be active still in these areas as well).

well, public as in "open." you can only go so far in that area until you hit a closed door (can't make it to the dig site before the nexus). What i was trying to get at, is that there are areas outside of the intended play space where you can accomplish the bounty. and this week its a little bit easier, as you are mostly fighting vex that do void damage rather than arc damage.
