Atheon Opening the Timestream vs Titan's Bubbleshield. Help! (Destiny)

Last night I played the raid as a Defender Titan with the Helm of Saint-14 (ward of dawn blinds enemies who enter it). During the Atheon battle I would drop my bubble shield at the back of the center platform behind the relic holder. Just before Atheon would open the time-stream I would hide out in my bubble shield. I noticed that I was never teleported while I was in my shield. I also noticed another teammate wasn't teleported while in my bubble shield. Now we only faced teleportation maybe 6 or 7 times and I WAS teleported once, but I was NOT in my shield.
Here's my request for help: Is this behavior (not being teleported while in the bubble-shield) happenstance? Does the ward of dawn really provide protection against teleportation in the time-stream? Has anyone else noticed this behavior? Are there any other defender titans that can help me test this out?

I also wonder if defeating atheon without being teleported has something to do with the rumored 7th chest. Much like the '5th'(?) chest from not letting the templar teleport.
w.r.t. another chest and bubbles
During the Templar fight, if you happen to wipe, you'll notice the scoreboard tracks the number of times he teleports (which we all know is the conditional for the '5th' chest to spawn). However, during the Atheon fight the scoreboard tracks the number of Time's Vengeance, which leads many to believe this is the conditional (0 TVs) for another chest to spawn. TV can be adverted by simply opening the portal as normal, but getting the fuck out of Dodge without bothering with Oracles.
While playing on Hard, my team encountered the "no one teleports for the first few timestreams" glitch. We were burning the bastard down without TV, but eventually someone died and then 1 person got timestream'd. Cody has also encountered this glitch during his team's Flawless Raider runs. While he says it is repo-able by not dying at all during the Raid up until that point, I seem to recall our team having at least one death/wipe before the Atheon fight, so it could have just been mere coincidence.
Now, for your Bubble concern, I've played as Defender multiple times as well. However, since I primarily play on Hard now we tend to stay away from our Bubbles when the timestream opening is near, as on Hard you will get a suppression field around you (like when you take out the Templar's shield), which a Bubble will only interfere with when you're trying to remove the field.
I'll try getting my team to play on Normal later to investigate the Bubble idea, but I swear I've been teleported before while sucking my thumb in one.

Next time I raid I'll give it a try if I remember. It would be interesting to see if it does this as you mention.
I think it's been mentioned before, but perhaps Bungie 'fixed' the raid to encourage players to find this supposed last chest. When they say "It didn't play as we intended", maybe they didn't mean it to make it harder or more random, but because in that state with the way players we're doing it prevented a reward or something.
And, if that IS the case, they wouldn't be able to tell us that's why they changed it in the first place (You know, players being on their own to figure out the raid on their own and all that).
In that case, I hope it DOES trigger something because then all the whiners about the randomness will have to shut it hahaha

I mentioned this on twitter, got 1 response back the next day from someone saying they were still getting teleported while inside the shield.

Well shucks. Sounds like RNG coincidence then. I'll still keep an eye on it tho'.

On hard mode, you want to stay out of the bubble because it makes it much tougher to get out of the detainment bubble.

In the raid last night I saw many of my team be teleported right out of my shield, so last week's behavior must have just been RNG coincidence.
