I think this should be said in order to prevent disappointment and frustration, but the Crota raid at level 30 does not work like the Vault of Glass on level 30. On Vault, you could do it as a 29. On Crota, you can't.

Vault of glass @ level 30 had max level 30 enemies. Crota @ level 30 starts enemies at 30, then goes to 31, then to 32.

So yeah, 30 means 30. There is zero chance a group of 29s can do this.

Lots of people are saying that you need to be 31 to (SPOILER): deal enough damage to Crota before enrage hits. Supposedly you can do it with level 30s if absolutely everything goes clockwork perfect. Either that, or there is some kind of time's vengeance style buff we don't know about yet.
