On dodging Knight strikes *needs testing* (Destiny)
It seems like Knights will always miss if you sprint towards and past their off hand during their swing windup. They always seem to do vertical strikes with their right hand with their left hand as their blindspot.
From what I can tell by dying a whole bunch is that jumping backwards is useless, but rushing their left (which is my/your right when facing a knight) resulted in their sword strike missing.
I'm at work right now but if anyone could test that it would be great.

That seems to jive with what I've noticed before. Dodging left seems to be pretty effective.

I've noticed that they get a large hit box when you are jumping. They've batted me out of the air several times during the nightfall.

Forget knights, how about those Reaver Captains?
I hate lightswitch so much.

I was on Crota's Raid last night--one of my teammates had almost perfected a way to avoid Knight's swings--simply by sprinting around in a circle. Seriously, he had two or three knights at a time swinging at him, all missing. Also, crouching at the right time helps.

How about sliding? It's interesting that they gave everyone in the game a gun that increases slide extra distance (Murmur).

You seemed to test that theory rather well. Running in counter-clockwise circles was working for me, which would have me running towards their off hand nonstop...

I WAS PLAYING THE RAID AS INTENDED I SWEAR
Running in circles was totally part of the design :p

Heh so are they going to remove running? Or just running left? :p

Well while elites in reach had dodgable melees, they also had sick roundhose kicks that were much harder to dodge by going to their left. Maybe knights could get a sick spinning backhand move?
