For those of you who have finished this, were your rewards different?

No, but as it happens I hadn't bought gloves for my Sunsinger build yet, and the particular stat boosts and perks I wound up with were PERFECT for it. I like the look of them, too.

How did you feel about the quest/bounty process? I thought it was pretty interesting, definitely more-so than your standard exotic bounty. I wish exotic bounties were treated like this, culminating in some sort of semi-relevant story mission.

Same here. This sort of structure could definitely be put to good use in the future. I would expect to see similar stuff in House of Wolves.
