So I just went to destroy all the new blue and green weapons/armor I got before turning in my bounties and low and behold, there is a new yellow weapon in my Heavy slot. I have no idea where it came from . . .

The last thing I did was two "Kill the target" public events on the moon, but I'm fairly certain I would have seen if I got it from one of those. I'm astounded, I spent the last hour or so sitting AFK on the moon while browsing the internet, then come back to this. It was crazy.

Has anyone gotten exotics like this from a public event? I wouldn't have even thought that was possible.

I haven't. my guess would be that you actually got it from something before that and just hadn't noticed it yet.

Erm, what? This is the guy who turned more than half the Legendaries I brought him into upgrade materials. What mystical voodoo did he do to turn a Rare into an Exotic? Or was Lord Random taking a pub crawl at the time?

Yeah that's possible. Looking at my stats on B.Net it could only come from one of three Crucible matches . . . and I really think I would have noticed it. I poured over the post-match stats. Still possible I missed it though.

It looks pretty cool, though possible not as good as my Gjallahorn though. I'll upgrade it a bit and see.

Since the patch I've found two legendary engrams which magically appeared in my inventory, presumably after a strike or PvP match, but never showed up on the end of round report.

Both were just ascendent energy, though.

Yeah, I've been noticing that a few things I'm getting are not showing up in the post-game report. Nothing as cool as an exotic yet, though.

There have been time where I've gotten more than two rewards from an activity, and it only shows 2 of them on the post-game progression screen. The 3rd item is usually only shown for a second or two as it's fading out from the mission or something.

Just be overjoyed that you got it. Congrats! :P
