Horizontal distance (Destiny)

If you take the maneuverability upgrade instead of height, you can launch yourself crazy long distances, at a speed slightly better than sprinting. Just takes a bit of practice - jump, then wait until you're at the apex and moving in the direction you want, then jump again. Zoom!
