Hard light (Destiny)
This has been bugging me for a while..
I have a near maxed hard light (shard needed) and for a gun with MAX stability, it's recoil is bloody rediculous.
Also, why is it not arc? It literally fires blue projectiles.
Thoughts, please?

Needs to fire Arc, yeah. There doesn't seem to be enough to warrant an Exotic slot, outside of some PvE... I'd love for it to shoot through overshields, since it would help make up for the slow projectile speed, and the ability to shoot through defender shields is somewhat useless if they have Armor of Light.
Definitely needs something to make it a force to be reckoned with...

Well it's ROF is actually pretty good, same as a Galahad-E.
My real issue is the fact that it has maxed stability and it is far from stable.
Compare it to the stability of Suros Regime for example who's stability is amazing.
Hard light should not be moving an inch when fired with the whole stability bar completely filled, yet I'm constantly having to correct it. There are more stable heavy machine guns.
It does also have really low impact, I think this should also be raised.
I just think someone in bungie needs to take a real look at the gun and get the feel for it. Anyone who's used it will know what I'm talking about.

It's my most-used exotic weapon.
I guess since I've used it for so long I don't even notice this recoil you're talking about. :) Spend some time with it, get used to it, perhaps? It becomes a killing machine, and the update a couple of weeks ago made it even stronger. Definitely my main tool in Iron Banner, out of the exotics I have.

Stability is not the same as recoil. Recoil is actually a hidden stat. This confused me until I understood. Recoil is essentially the predictability of the kick, whereas stability is the strength of the kick. If you have a lot of recoil, the gun will kick unpredictably making it harder to control. Vision of Confluence doesn't have a ton of stability, but because the recoil is extremely predictable, it is an easy gun to use.

Really? I mean, I'm not saying I don't believe you but, do you have some proof/ research or anything data mined to do with weapon stats? I guess it would explain why my hunter perk doesn't stack stability.
Also,
Levi please I've had it for weeks :P
I use it in iron banner or regular crucible constantly , i tried it on a strike but it's low impact was just making those vex laugh at me.
Hard light
There are abilities that reduce recoil, and there are abilities that increase stability.

In PvE, I'm usually charging at the enemy while shooting, and really getting the last few killing blows up-close (the whole bonus damage with the bottom half of the magazine suits that style, too). But I use a scout rifle or hand cannon for Vex usually, with their more unique weak spots.
