My clan generously assisted me with a Crota checkpoint last night. Twice. And the rest of the Raid after that. Anyway, I got 2 Radiant Shards for killing Crota. Nothing else.

Then I loaded up my second Warlock and we killed Crota again; got Hunger of Crota, Shader, Emblem.

RNG, man. Only getting 2 Radiant Shards for the boss kill and then having to wait a full week to roll again.. makes the effort of leveling an alternate character seem worthwhile for the chance at a second roll.

Also picked up Husk of the Pit this morning. I had heard about farming the first Dark Below mission and since that is a good spot for Eris bounties anyway, I gave it a shot. I wasn't counting but it dropped after probably around 20 Blade of Crota kills this morning. I didn't go nuts with farming, but I wanted to see if I could get the weapon.

I saw a post on Reddit where someone spent 5 hours farming that mission before getting it. 5. Hours.

I had no idea what this thing was and am so glad I read your post prior to getting one. The game randomly gave me it while I was out in Patrol, and I was going to scrap it for being garbage but figured I should bring back up your post to see if it was called the same thing. Thanks for inadvertently helping me get something that will eventually be awesome! :D

Sammy played one hour last week, doing the Nightfall and the weekly, and had the Husk of the Pit randomly at the postmaster. She hadn't even heard of it, and I had to reassure her that it was worth keeping.

Crypographic is weird, because not only does it look nothing like what it advertises, the colors depend on your class. Warlocks get solid gold attachments with a burnt mango coat, hunters get bone-colored clothing with gold highlights, and Titans get a drab brownish color...

And the advertised color pattern is peach mixed with browns...

It actually looks really nice, though. Got one for each of my characters...

I got 2 just doing bounties. Then threw one away before I realised I might like to keep one a Legendary and one an Exotic.

Some guy on Reddit was lamenting earlier today that he hadn't got one yet, despite claiming to have been grinding Blade of Crota kills for hours every day.

This is what I meant when I said if RNGesus really is totally random, it's absurd.

I don't think I'll even want to upgrade it past Legendary. Has anyone already upgraded it to that point? I'd like to know how much better than Firefly it is and how often it works.
