Ok Bungie, that's #3. How many more will it take until you understand that I WILL NOT voluntarily enter the Excrucible? If Exotic Bounties contain PVP as one of the 'steps', then I won't do them. In fact, how about something that would allow me (and others, of course) to just dismiss the missive without having to choose one only to abandon it?

I've had to do this three times already. The only bounty I've encountered that didn't require massive humiliation on my part allowed me to gain Super Good Advice. I know you're tracking what I do. If you didn't understand how I could abandon a mini side-quest which led to a *cough*powerful*cough* weapon, then now you know.

You can do that. When it gives you one, hit O/B, go to your inventory, and delete it.

Most of the PvP bounties are super simple (I literally did all three PvP ones at the same time as a Hunter), the only one even remotely difficult is the Void damage one, and we've already discussed how to get that one easily.

But if you want to miss out on Bad Juju or Thorn, which are devastating now, then that's on you. Can't blame Bungie for making an Exotic challenging to get. Wasn't that the point?

...but it gives you a gun that's mostly only useful for crucible, so I don't know if that helps you or not.

Most of the PvP bounties are super simple.

Unless, like me, you suck at PVP.

But if you want to miss out on Bad Juju or Thorn, which are devastating now, then that's on you. Can't blame Bungie for making an Exotic challenging to get. Wasn't that the point?

Those two and Invective. Toss in a PVP requirement and it isn't a challenge, it's an impossibility.

Regardless of your skill level, you can still complete them.

The only one that punishes you for dying is the Thorn bounty.

I CAN blame Bungie for making a system that somehow has only offered me the same Thorn/Juju/Invective missive SIX TIMES on one character. I've literally NEVER seen another Exotic bounty across THREE different characters. I know I know; random random is random....that doesn't make it right or good. It does make it FRUSTRATING.

I did Bad Juju...twice. I don't want or need to do it again. I'll never use a shotgun - not my playstyle - and I've got better guns than Thorn so I'll likely never use that one either. So the other night when I received the SAME missive for the SEVENTH time on the same character.....what's the point?

Six times? Oh, my sweet summer child... I've gotten that Missive well over a dozen times on ONE character, let alone the other two. I've only thrice ever been offered the other weapons across my characters.

Also, the POINT is TO randomly offer you A CHANCE to work for AN exotic WEAPON. The weapons AREN'T vital to your SUCCESS, so you DON'T really need TO do them if you don't want TO. There's no REASON to get angry ABOUT it.

A possible fix would be to add the ability to earn other Exotics (heck, even some of the less popular ones, like the MIDA), so you wouldn't have to pick between the ones that require Crucible. Maybe a fourth option that required using only green weapons on a tough Story mission or something... That'd make things interesting, as you'd rely on your grenades and melee more, and the difficulty would free you from Crucible grinding, which can cause you to change your playstyle, as I know that teammates playing at less than 100% tends to bring whiners out...

I'm sorry, are you 100 years old, or do I really sound like such a whiny brat to you that you talk down to me so?

No, I don't play Crucible unless I have a group (not often) or unless I "have to" (i.e. Bad Juju), it's just not my cup of tea. It's not Halo MM, which I barely tolerated because I DID always have a good group to play with; but even then I preferred campaign.

Clearly we all have VERY different RNG "luck" - such is the nature of Random - so maybe it's a fool's errand to even TRY comparing experiences, but telling me I can't be miffed at not even being OFFERED a CHANCE at certain FUN weapons in Destiny is uncalled for. I know they're not REQUIRED (did I say they were?), but that doesn't mean I can't vent a little about FEELING like I'll never get a chance at something I'd have a lot of fun doing (i.e. NOT the Thorn bounty).

You've had the option to choose, therefore you no longer know what it's like to NOT have the option offered to you.
