Jeez I thought Arc burn on the Summoning Pits was awful enough. Because most enemies do only non-kinetic types of damage (some melees kinetic?) this pretty much means we have no real advantage, just that kinetic weapons are nerfed. If you can manage to land all your shots before they do, cool, but otherwise, crap.

I did this nightfall the first week, and the modifiers were the same. It wasn't terribly hard, you just had to play the distance game and stay away from stuff.

If 2 or 3 people hit Onnigal with Gjallarhorns, you can take her down in the hallway where you first see her (before she spawns the ogre). I nailed her with 3 rounds and her health dropped by at least 20%. Go in with a squad of Gallys and a full stock of heavy ammo and you should be able to burn her in under 1 minute. Worth it to skip the final room.

Not in my experience. Maybe in the last hallway up the hill? If you kill her in the first hallway before the 2 wizards and the ogre, it doesn't end the strike.

Last solar omnigull ppl reported she respawns if you kill her early. Never tried myself, so no personal experience to report.

I would imagine this is correct. It's possible/likely that the Omnigul we see in each location is actually a separate character, and I'm sure they're each scripted to appear at their usual place when you get there.

This is why I never bother even shooting at her in the previous rooms. As far as I could ever tell, she's got full health at the beginning of the final encounter regardless.

after you open the final door, walk all the way back out to skywatch and get your sparrow. then drive through everything into the final room. it will just be omnigul and wizards (as long as you don't wipe). if you have a party of gjallarhorns, then it will be a cake walk.

I managed to take her out with Ghallahorn (and a friend with Hunger of Crota) when you first come across her. It instantly spawned all the waves she would have summoned, and was very, very satisfying. Too bad she respawned and we had to kill her again.. not much of a problem with ole Ghally, aka the last rocket launcher I will ever use.

That was a beautiful thing. Best part was probably how surprised we all were. It was was what....5-6 rockets and she was dead?

Also, just noticed that I had blessing of light on as opposed to weapons of light when we ran the regular weekly. That may have played a part in us not getting killed by all the ads so quickly in the nightfall.

If you're careful, and it wouldn't hurt to have at least one Sunsinger, Nightfall can be damn fun and as Claude said, much easier than the Weekly Heroic. When used carefully, burns are absolutely incredible. Hell, I made this last week! And THREE burns on there?!? Meaning I don't even have to friggin' switch weapons?!?

I'm giggling, I'm crying, I'm hard, I'm wet--I'm like EVERYTHING right now. I am SUPER excited for this! I'd been aching for it all day at work. The only thing that would make it better is if I actually had Fatebringer. That would be the ONE THING. Arc Primary, Void Secondary, Solar Super Good Advice. AWESOME!!

I've never been so happy.

I'll admit, the boss section was a little trying--she managed to perfectly synchronize the Cursed Thrall spawning and the Boomer Knights spawning so that she was never understaffed.

But we did get her health down to a quarter in that hallway... ;-)

I would've been happy with literally an Axiom Coven or even a Marshall-A, and I wouldn't have cared, but for my reward I got a Light Beyond Nemesis. Sounds good, and the perks are sexy.

Can't wait to try it out!

That's an excellent item for running with a squad. It's essentially the Warlock version of the Crest of Alpha Lupi chest piece. A Sunsinger using that can REALLY chuck out orbs.

FWIW, I thought it was fun. The nice thing about multi-burn is you can just equip whatever weapons would normally be best anyway.

Also, I just wanted to post somewhere what happened with Hunger of Crota (not maxed, still one tier away). I fired one rocket at a fully-shielded Hallowed Wizard, expecting to do quite a bit of damage, but still finish it off. It died, outright. O_o I know solar burn was on, but still... damn. That made me laugh.
