How Bungie could look to Warframe for Faction improvement... (Destiny)
In under five minutes! :v
Great video, excellent suggestions!

Damn. That's a good idea. Love it.

Meh. What Bungie is missing isn't even mentioned
Story.
Having watched the video and never played the game, what I'm sensing the request from Bungie here is:
1. Better items from the factions
2. Faction specific bounties
What I don't see being requested is the only thing that's hard to implement, a story to go along with each faction. I have a feeling that the reason the factions aren't more than they are is because the story around them wasn't written/implemented in time. Other priorities were ahead of them as deadlines (inevitably) slipped, and thus the factions were left behind with just a skeleton of their hopeful future.
What I don't want to see Bungie do is simply give me faction specific bounties to earn cred for faction specific exotics, WITHOUT giving me something that's entertaining, engaging, and fun to play. Simply doing #1 and #2 is just putting a carrot out in front of us and asking us to do the same old thing under a new name, which I believe we've all complained about enough :)
When/If Bungie gets a story behind the factions, I expect them to present that story to us in exactly the way indicated. But it's not there out of a lack of imagination.
FINE

Funny thing is, just after I uploaded my video, Warframe released a new update that adds a "Tower", where up to 100 players can mingle, join groups, and trade, complete with its own randomly-appearing Xur, who sells rare items in exchange for Coins...*
And according to their Community Livestream today, Eight-player raids are also on their way to the game. Seriously, that's just way too much content for this game to be completely free...
*Tower access is undergoing stress-testing, so it's currently being limited to people who are Mastery Rank 10 and up...

FINE
I'm gonna laugh when it gets revealed that like, MS has been secretly behind\owns the company all along or some crazy twist like that.
....
WAIT.
IT WAS NINTENDO
ahahahawwwwwwwww
On a serious note, though
How the hell do they pay for all this? The massive server, the QA staff, the continuous production of new (gorgeous) assets and missions?
Because if the game is half as good as you claim it to be, hell, why isn't anyone else doing this well as well?
Why?
I mean, if they're putting out a great game with (apparently) no catches, what difference does it make?
Well done, Korny.

The platinum that you can buy supports them well, I imagine. They have an $80 Prime pass that I intend to buy, because I love what they do. They apparently make enough that they donated $10,000 to the ALS research way back when, and they haven't put up a single paywall. I seriously don't know why other devs don't follow in their steps. Heck, they're not just getting by, the game is constantly evolving in leaps and bounds...
Korny, I hope this game picks up pace fast
Because right now, it's pretty boring. Also, about only 1%, if that, of the market can be bought with in-game currency, which clearly pays for their bills. I enjoy the mod tweaking and upgrading, even if I'm still not sure of how the synergy(?) thing works. Some use more slots than stated, some use less.
Any tips on making the game more dynamic?

The Foundry is a big thing in the game. If you go to the store (right-hand side of the cockpit), you can buy Blueprints for almost any weapon, Warframe, or sentinel. The blueprint is bought with in-game currency, then you go to the foundry and build it, provided that you've picked up resources (every planet has their own set, and you find the resources by simply playing the missions, or building mining machines)... You should focus on the first set of weapons that you found first, and work to get them to level 30, which will open up the ability to rank up.
Also, Mods are important, and you pick them up by playing missions too (they drop more often than green engrams). Mods can completely overhaul your weapon, and you can even save multiple mod loadouts per weapon/frame... (you can even level up mods through Fusion, but avoid the Transfusion until you're more experienced. It lets you sacrifice four random mods for a random reward, which can often pay out very well, but it's costly).
It's slow going the first few hours, but there are tweaks that you can change in the options menu to change how the game plays (I recommend turning off motion blur, and open up 360° melee, rather than directional melee...
But yeah, 90% of the market can be built through simply working for it. 8% through finding the parts in special missions, and only 2% through direct purchases (limited edition skins and decorations, mostly).
The problem with Tutorial videos is that they get dated after only about six months, since some pretty massive UI overhauls have happened in the last year.
I should make a tutorial video. A lot of stuff isn't very clear at first, but the Codex (left of the cockpit) can answer almost any question that you have...
Also, don't be intimidated by things that take days to craft. You can get those started while you level up the starter gear.
The game opens up around level 3, but anything you want to get in the game is never more than a few days away... Faster sometimes if you join a clan and they simply let you have stuff...
It's a shame more DBO folk don't join Sammy and I on PS4, we have tons and tons of free stuff to help folks hit the ground running.
Ok, that helped a bit
Still trying to figure out what lets me rank up again, but I think it clicked already. Turns out the bow I picked on the tutorial mission lets me shoot through obstacle, so no longer am I craving for a rifle.
So far, I've crafted 2 different sword sets. Having to grind them up to let me attach mods again sucks, though. I finally got a decent mod combo only to have to stash it away again. At least Destiny lets me upgrade my gear without forcing me to use it...
Btw, some of these missions are damn near impossible without at least another friendly player. *grumble* *grumble* Dat KotH *grumble* *grumble*
