Iron Banner Vendor Items (Destiny)
Stayed up to try and exploit my old ranking. Bungie fixed the exploit. GG.
Anyway, on to the important bits:
-Light 36 Gloves (2 variants) (Requires Rank 3)
-Light 36 Boots (2 variants) (Requires Rank 4) - In case you can't wait for that Heavy ammo fix.
-Felwinter's Lie - Shotgun (Requires Rank 4) - This actually looks really good. Default perks: Rangefinder, Return To Sender, and your choice of (Flared Magwell, Hammer-Forged, Lightweight). Solar Damage.
-Gheleon's Demise - Scout Rifle (Requires Rank 5) - Default perks: Outlaw, Firefly, and your choice of (Snapshot, Hammer-Forged, Armor piercing rounds). Kinetic Damage.
-Standard Iron banner class items/emblems/shaders.
-Tempered Buff
Oh, and just for good measure, the bounties are *still* unchanged.
probably reset the rankings a day before :(

Noob Question
The Iron Banner armor is cross-class, right? Meaning I could play IB with my Hunter, rank her up to level 4, buy the boots, and give them to my Titan? Or do I have that wrong?
They didn't fix it!
Check my profile (same name) for proof :( . I'm sorry it didn't work for you. I had the gloves from before, but bought the 36 boots and shotgun. It's the first time I've ever done it.
Something that was really weird that never happened to me before is that it wouldn't let me go to the tower. It kept saying 'you have not completed the necessary mission' (or something to that effect). I was able to get in joining a friend already there, and my rank wasn't reset.
There were people on Reddit that said it didn't work for them last time either. There must be some precise detail we're not aware of.
No, it isn't....
Which is why players like me who have been dumb enough to spend the time grinding multiple characters in the same event have grown ugh with it...
Edit: a word. Tiny phone is tiny.

The first day's bounties alone get you just shy of Rank 2 (a couple of victories should push you over)... Beyond that, you have a week to rank up your other classes, assuming that for some reason you want to get them all to rank 4 (you only need one class to get to 5).
I'm just going to run my Hunter and Warlock, since I don't like how the raid legs look on either, and I suppose I'll get the shotgun, since it has some really mean stats (and a great default roll).

The only reason I want to play IB at all is to get my Titan to 32... I just don't like using my Titan in the crucible. Was hoping to use a different character, but it's no big deal. I don't want to spend my whole week grinding PvP, but I'm tired of waiting for the boots to drop from the raid :)
True.
I've ground multiple characters before to rank 5 in the same instance not because I had to, but out of 'eh, might as well' Because of a hope for weapon drops.
I'd give just about anything to get updated versions of the Hammers.

Word.
Heck, I'd take them at 300 if I could get my hands on Arc and Solar versions...

Arc Jolder's hammer is basically a poor man's thunderlord that doesn't take an exotic slot.

Yeah, this is what happened to me. Wish I had learned about that workaround sooner.
Gheleon's Demise
This is a great gun, and the default perks are damn near perfect! At attack 300, it outclassed the MIDA, so I'm assuming it will do the same at strength 331. I strongly encourage everyone capable of reaching rank 5 to do so and get this.
God, I Suck.

I guess it's because I pretty much never get Relentless--hell, it's a miracle if I get more than 1 KPD. But I think I've only gotten Rank 2, maybe once. I've given up on Iron Banner.
It took me more than a month to fully max out Eris. There's no way I can get it done within a week. And Control, too? That gets old for me REAL quick.

Small trick - you don't need a Relentless, you just need two 5-kill streaks, one at the end of a game, the other at the beginning of the next. (Still not trivial, but easier than a 10-kill streak in a single game. ;) )
God, I Suck.
And even better, assists count.

This is the big one! Instead of going for the kill streak play a little more cautiously, chuck grenades at enemies allies are fighting, or hit them with a sniper round, and then hide. I got this bounty last Iron Banner by getting 2 Unsung Hero medals + 4 kills.
Or…

Or just get it in the first two minutes of your first iron banner match…
