The bad side of reforging for perfection (Destiny)

I picked up a Timur's Lash during the last Iron Banner and spent around 30 motes of light rerolling it and still didn't come up with a combination I liked so I vaulted it. Fast forward to yesterday, I spent another 30-40 motes of light reforging yet again. I finally gave up when I was at 8 motes left and have this roll now.

Truesight IS (would have preferred Steadyhand IS)
Spray and Play (Happy with this)
Armor Piercing/Flared Magwell/Explosive Rounds
Who's Next (Would have loved Luck in The Chamber/Final Round/Crowd Control/Third Eye)

I have spent around 60-70 motes of light on this weapon that I am mildly happy with. It's not the end of the world, but that's around 3 weeks of playing worth of motes of light. Just crazy to think about how much time was wasted on getting this roll.
