https://www.bungie.net/en/News/News?aid=12599
Highlights:
-Weekly heroic matchmaking
-Permanent exotic engram slot on Xur?
-More maps in Iron Banner next time; new bounties
-Less strike/crucible map repeats coming soon?
-Some measure for character deletion may or may not be in the works.
Lot of claims for future improvements in this one. Not clear when implementation may occur.

Came out sooner, more style, and better music.

Strange Coin Inflation
With the weekly heroic being a matchmade strike now, I think it's safe to say that there will be more strange coins earned overall… I simply wonder if that's going to drive the price of goods from Xur up, seeing as how they will be in more abundance. I guess as a side note, the fact that players like me have a huge stash is also concerning, especially seeing as to what barrier bungie is going to put in place to keep me from spending it in bulk to get the good stuff from Xur when HoW drops.
Boring update [eom]

Weekly Matchmaking is bad.
I liked being able to invite my friends in halfway through a weekly. I can get started while they switch characters etc...... Not really a fan of being forced to play the weekly wih randoms if I don't have a full fireteam

Op in

Which is why it should be OP IN.
That's cool it's now an option, but that's what it should be: an option.
Heroic Matchmaking?
I'll take it. I always have trouble getting people together to do Weeklies. I just hope it won't be a train-wreck trying to get decent teammates.

I completely agree

One reason is that sometimes it's fun to play with just one other person. Other times it's fun to have someone you know drop in along the way. Those experiences will now be rarer. Seeing friends with two on a fireteam will be rarer.
Here's an example of how matchmaking can be suboptimal: last night a long-time gaming buddy of mine was on. He doesn't play much and is still a 23. My friend just likes to shoot stuff. We tried to go for the Arcon priest bounty with one of my lower-level characters, and got matched with a 32, and there wasn't that much left to shoot. That player dominated, understandably.
Here's another thing. I actually liked using LFG sites for these. The challenge didn't demand too much if your team wasn't the greatest (the cost of failure was much less than nightfall, obviously), and the act of being on an LFG site signifies more of an investment in the game than pushing a button on your controller does. In other words, there are randoms, and there are randoms.
In general, I'd like more chances to play the game at my own pace. I don't hate the investment system like you do, but I think that it has led to much more controlled playing options and has greatly limited the customization options in Destiny.

*Opt-in

It's opt-in. From the Latin optare. Through the French opter.

That should be enough for you to start disliking investment systems. See?! I told you guys. They ruin games…

Ruin is a bit much
It's not hurting my experience at all, but I'm much less concerned with optimumness than a lot of people, I think.
