I'll check for updates on my own, I was just mentioning it in case anybody else wanted to get prepared so we can start right away. But what about the expansion thing?

Additional content (like co-op mode and the Black Market) are part of the updates since launch. All free. The expansion packs are maps only, and cost money. All the expansion pack maps are great, but not critical I believe.

The fire team builder is localized for your time zone so you can always check by looking at the sidebar from the main page of the form. But yes I believe that's correct.

Here are some fascinating things I learned by trying to turn on my Xbox one a moment ago:

The Xbox one has controller firmware updates and until I apply one through a complicated method which involves equipment that did not come with the Xbox my Xbox controller will not work and will not tell me why it does not work. Ditto for a chat headset.

Apparently I bought the season pass to tighten fall and totally forgot about it before any of the additional content ever came out. So, if everybody did that too we can play the new maps and I won't feel like I wasted $35.

Dictating messages into my iPad where I say the word "Xbox" a lot freaks the kinnect voice control out like nobody's business.

We got 3 games in, losing the harvester in the final round of the first 2 but game 3 was a flawless victory.

Holy cow is Titanfall's HUD cluttered. Destiny has me spoiled.

Yeah. I was saying when Ithe other group took me in I should really level up my Xbox Destiny charector so I can get in on Xbox events.

It had been so long since I'd played Titanfall, I'd almost forgotten what a blast it is. I've been playing nothing but Destiny since the fall, but jumping back in to Titanfall felt like coming home again in a nice way.

I adore Destiny, and I think the high level combat is spectacular, but the movement, speed and sense of momentum in Titanfall is just something else completely. Having so many "layers" of combat stacked on top of each other is exhilarating. Really makes me wish Destiny had a bit more Vehicle combat in play.

Maybe next time we can try some of the competitive multiplayer? Pete, we never did get a chance to try our "Entire team begins match with spare Titan burn cards equipped and call them all down at the same time" maneuver ;)

I'm tempted to do the same thing... it's just the thought of grinding through 1-26 from scratch that has kept me from taking the plunge.

I'm not going that route, and I'm beginning to realize that certain things will probably never come to pass. I'll likely never fully upgraded VoG raid armor for my baby titans, for example, simply because there will not be a need.

I'm not going that route, and I'm beginning to realize that certain things will probably never come to pass. I'll likely never fully upgraded VoG raid armor for my baby titans, for example, simply because there will not be a need.

If I had more time, I would love to do that. But as it is I don't have as much time as I'd like to get all my PS4 gear upgraded. I really want to be able to play with my Xbox friends, but leveling 3 characters (even if its 3 of the same class) up to 30 is going to take anywhere from 10-20 hours per character (not to mention all the time I'd need to acquire and upgrade decent weapons), just so I can maybe do a raid once per week.

If I enjoyed the early game in Destiny, I'd probably go for it. But I really don't. I'm hoping against hope that Bungie will some day add the ability to bring characters across platforms. I know Xbox and Playstation really don't want that to be an option, but it would be such an incredible feature. I'd love to see Bungie fight for it.

Maybe at some point down the road they'll give us a faster way to get through the first 25 levels. At that point I would certainly consider doing it.

The biggest obstacle in the way of playing with you is our different schedules, friend. I think the way the game has changed, one character can be raid-worthy without a lot of effort, and I'm sure with new Vanguard items for sale with the next DLC, keeping current won't be too time consuming. I'm finding good substitutes on the PS4. Good for Anything replaces my missing Atheon's Epilogue. Another NITC replaces my vision of confluence. Adapting without the old stand-bys and the best of the best armor might be a good antidote to the completionist urge.
