Destiny rewards and punishes. (Destiny)
The people I play with know that I carry a A1.F19X-RYL that only does 300 damage purely for the Firefly and Armor Piercing. It has served me very well but my old friend has been retired to the vault. It will never be sharded but it has been replaced. On Wednesday the Nightfall gave me a Badger CCL with Firefly, Armor Piercing and Who's Next. The stats are almost identical, which is great but with the 331 damage makes this my new best friend. I spent yesterday upgrading it, I've got it to 318 but don't have the energy to make the final kick to 331.
It's amazing how Destiny keeps you playing. I finished upgrading the Badger as far as I could, saw that I was one strike away from going up a Vanguard rank. Ok, one more strike and we will see what the postmaster has for me. Oh, legendary helmet engram, decodes to energy. Oh look, just two or three more blue engrams and I'll go up in Cryptarch rank. Ok, I'll play another strike. Well, that was disappointing. Well, I'm almost to max Vanguard marks for the week, might as well finish that off. Hi, Honey you're home early aren't you? No? Sorry, I must have lost track of time. Yeah, I know I told you I would do the dishes. I was letting the first batch dry and got side tracked. Xbox turn off. XBOX TURN OFF!

Number one reason I haven't gotten an Xthrone yet.

My wife would be the one saying 'xbox turn off' as she walked in the door. IT GIVES HER TOO MUCH POWER.
Yes, the 360 crew all say xthrone. As in, 'Phisto's too good to play with us, he's up there on his xthrone.'

Being able to yell at your TV is GREAT.
Seriously, it's the best thing.

But I can yell at my TV now anyway.
It just doesn't do anything.

Being able to yell at your TV *and get a result* is GREAT.

I've been able to turn off that part of my head recently.
"Oh, just 50 more to level up Dead Orbit. Eh. I'll do it tomorrow."
I think Bungie ruining the upgrade packages killed that desire for me. I know I won't get anything I want.

If you weren't already aware, people on an XBone can read messages sent from a 360. Audio messages don't translate but text works. The point being, if you know someone has a 360 they could switch to, send a message.

Yeah, I don't mind swapping, just give me time to change into some old clothes that I don't mind getting dirty while I'm trudging around down there.

Not that simple
The Xbone and the 360 don't play nice with each other if they're sharing the same router. You usually have unplug one to get the other to work, sometimes requiring a router reboot.
Unless you have some fancy contextual-port-forwarding-capable router, in which case, WANT.

Not that simple
I've never had that particular problem. I can definitely switch from one to the other right away. I did have some other issues with the XBone's networking when I first got it, because it hated my old router, but even then I could switch consoles at any time without it making a difference (the XBone problems existed regardless of whether I'd been using the 360).
The difference might be that I've got my XBone set to fully power off. I've had it set that way since... probably December 2013. If you have to unplug yours to get the network sorted out I'm guessing it's staying partially on all the time (instant-on mode, or whatever they call it). The network connection's still active in that state.
The router could be making a difference too, I guess. FWIW, I currently use a Netgear WNDR3700 with DD-WRT replacing the stock firmware.

DD-WRT is probably what's doing the trick
Even if you turn a device off, all routers I've ever used kept the port-forwarding set to its IP, even with UPnP...
I've yet to take the leap of faith and flash DD-WRT on my current. Maybe once we finally upgrade our main router.

Send me a message next time we're both on. But it has to smell like lavender.

I play on my XB1 while Lil'Blue plays on his 360 all the time. Never had a problem, even when both of us are playing Destiny. I don't have any fancy setup either. Just an old Netgear router.

Goddamn Americans have it all easy, huh?
;p

Speaking of Murica...
I may have just been sold on getting the new Battlefield.

It is not a Hotwire objective
I am thoroughly disappointed. :p
