Rare Events (Destiny)

Y'know, I used to do Public Events all the time(I don't do it as often any more), but in most cases I could usually predict which events would spawn where, if they did. Archer's Line was always Warsat or Extraction, Divide was always Walker, Rocketyard Target, Scablands Target, etc. But there were times that I was genuinely surprised by something entirely different happening. I've only been able to get this once, but I once actually had a Warsat land in The Buried City, a location notorious for Target practice. The Ember Caves, which almost always has either nothing, or Pike substitutes. But I once (and so far, only once) actually got an Extraction Crews event in that tiny area! It was amazing. On the Moon, it wasn't until January this year that I managed to find a Walker on anyplace other than The Divide or the Blast....or, on Earth! It was the first time I had ever seen a Winter Walker before, on the Anchor of Light. I had so much fun.

Then there was the time I managed to get a Walker on Venus, too! That was fun to start, but I was on a matchmade strike, and one of the idiots went on without us and wiped--dragging us away. (I mean, who's stupid enough to die in the first room?)

But perhaps the most surprising was a Patrol mission I did on Earth. I picked up a VIP beacon and said, "Ok let me go kill this Vandal or Servitor in The Breach like always." So I go over there and walk through the entrance to find...no one. I'm pretty sure I had the exact reaction Bungie wanted me to.

Where is everybody?

I hear a roar, and--no shit! An archon, a full blown shielded Major Archon steps out of the sewer pipe! A boss! I mean, he died almost instantly since he was still a 2, but it was definitely something I hadn't expected! One of the most refreshing moments I ever remember feeling!

I'm REALLY hoping we can get more of those "Oh wow!" moments in future updates, and especially in the sequels to come.
