I usually do the nightfall with friends on one or sometimes both of my characters. Sometimes I end up running it once or twice solo if friends aren't online at the beginning of the week. However, if later in the week someone wants to do a nightfall and I'm already online, I'll join them. I've done that a few times and find it no less fun than doing it for rewards. Unless we're going after Valus Ta'aurc. @##$% that guy.

That said, I'm also one of those guys that actually likes strikes. So sue me :)
