Hard mode Raid race: PS4 vs XB1 (Destiny)

I would love to do this for real, and have a friendly race between the two DBO camps. Xbox 360 is welcome to join in as well if you can get a team together.

The race is simple: VoG hard and Crota Hard back to back. No cheese.

This means:

VoG

1. Everybody must be down in the conflux area for Oracles and the templar. You can leave people up during the conflux section if you want.
2. Everybody must pass the Gorgon maze. Nobody can leave then come back later.
3. You can do the jumping puzzle however you like.
4. No pushing off any bosses (if that's even still possible)

Crota

1. No tricks to skip lamps or prevent the final bit of enemies from spawning.
2. Everyone who is still alive must cross the bridge before the Orgres.

Them's the rules. Race starts when the team loads onto Venus, and ends when Crota falls. I'm thinking a weekend would be better so nobody has to stay up super late. Sunday afternoon perhaps?

I certainly might be down for this.

I would be interested. Sunday afternoons don't work for me though... Saturday and Sunday evenings are usually fine, and sometimes Saturday afternoons as well.

You know I'm down for this, but I can't do afternoons. Late nights are the only time I can set aside a couple hours to do raids. If that doesn't work for everyone else, I totally understand. But if possible I'd love to join in.

Late night doesn't seem like the best time for folks, unless it's saturday night…

We could alternatively just pick a week, have each team do it whenever, then post the videos at the same time and see who won!

Does it need to be the same team?

Cause I think I'm good at Crota, but I'm not actually good enough at the game to reliably ensure atheon's demise.

Hey, we already did it for real, and Xbox won.

:D

edit: To actually contribute something to the discussion, perhaps an alternative idea is a DBO Raid leaderboard? That way teams can go on their own schedules, but they'll still be able to compete and get all the glory and bragging rights--with the added bonus of a particular good performance persisting across weeks.

This I like

I really like the idea of a DBO leaderboard for raids and strikes. Maybe even highest individual crucible scores per gametype... It has been mentioned before -- but we need to keep mentioning it so that Beorn finally notices and implements it! ;-)
