Iron Banner Reset (Destiny)
Anyone staying up tonight for the reset to try and use your old OB rank to purchase stuff?
Iron Banner Reset
Going to try. Was doing the 'reset' trick for dailies for most of February but just before DST hit I stopped trying--Knodding off at work too much. Now that it's an hour later local time I don't know if I can make it

Iron Banner Reset
Going to try. I don't have work tomorrow, so I might make it. Reset is still 4am EST, right? I know Xur is immune to DST, but resets did change, right?

That's what I was hoping to find out
I was hoping to see what time the reset was tonight so I could set an alarm. I want the chest for my hunter but wanted to play this IB as a warlock to get that chest piece.

That's what I was hoping to find out
The Destiny server clock does not take DST into account, so reset should happen (for us) an hour later than normal, ie. the same as when Destiny launched.
5am EST

Guess I am setting an alarm then

Probably going to run the nightfall at that time.
Feel free to join in if you need an 11th Gyllenhaal.
Anecdotal guidance
In case it doesn't work... Last time I remember someone saying they had to join a friend's tower to make iton banner appear.

I wasn't going to, but then I did
Got my level 32 chest armor for my Titan (arm, chest, legs set complete!), and now I'm prepared to IB on my hunter til my eyes bleed! Fortunately I only need rank 4 this time around because who would ever want Silmar's Wrath? Not me, since I have 3 of them. Why do I have 3 of them???
Didn't work
Didn't work for me. The tower I got put in didn't have the events area open and going back to orbit reset me. Didn't have a friend I could jump in with. :-(

two chest and one awesome Jolders Hammer
Bought both chests for the hunter then cashed in a ton of glimmer packs and got Jolders Hammer. Rerolled to an arc version with counterbalance, field scout, crowd control. I just need to grind my warlock now for the chest and another Jolders hammer
Dammit
I forgot that was even a thing. I only really want the chestpiece, but to grind it out 3 times will be painful.

Thank you. You totally saved me.
I stayed up, got everything ready and was waiting in orbit. When the reset occurred, I tried to go to the tower, but it said that I couldn't go down because I had not yet met the requirements. I was feeling so defeated, but then I saw that you were in the tower, so I decided to try to join you. Success! I grabbed an IB chest piece for my hunter (to replace the Crota CP) and I also grabbed a Jolder's Hammer. Now I don't have to have Crota's awful aesthetic on my sleek hunter.

For Future reference
I got on 5 minutes before the reset, and then waited until about 5 minutes after. I too got the "Requirements not met "message".
Turns out, if you swap a piece of gear on your character (I switched my Crota chest piece for my VoG one), the requirements message disappears, and I was able to load into an Iron-banner-opened tower with my previous rank intact.

How it works (I think)
I think your rank is reset when you get the "Iron Banner is available" message. That means if you go to orbit after the reset, you'll be presented with the message and your rank will reset. So yeah, you have to find someone on your friends list who entered the tower after the reset, then join it without going to orbit.
Really wish I would have known that before my rank got reset :-/

Good tip. Thanks

Most expensive tower visit ever.
Was able to pull off the glitch, but didn't have enough glimmer on-hand for anything.
Ran to my vault, and pulled out all 80 Axiomatic Beads I have been saving up since TDB launched. Cashed ALL of them in at the Cryptarch, and bought the chest piece and a shiny new 331 Jolder's hammer.

Most expensive tower visit ever.
heh, I had the same thing happen to me. Fortunately I only needed to dip in an pull out a couple thousand credits to get what I wanted, but I'm so glad we have the ability to bank. I would have been screwed.

I can't believe this isn't patched.
It benefits the player, I thought that was the criteria for bug fixes. The fix seems as simple as triggering the reset at the end of the previous Iron Banner instead of at the beginning of the new one.
