Some Destiny stuff, and the rare Archon mission... (Destiny)
Iron Banner's gotten off to a great start. One of my first games was so nail-bitingly close at the end, that I couldn't believe the announcement...
Always love those games...
After that, I was in a rough match, and we lost the lead fairly early, though we were slowly catching up. But when you hear the final Shaxx warning and you're 3000 points below the enemy team, you begin to lose hope... Never give up! Never surrender!
Other Observations:
After the latest patch, getting the Overcharged bounty is now difficult with the Mythoclast, when it used to be a cakewalk. Way to remove one of the remaining things that the Mythoclast still had going for it, Bungle...
Is something up with how Patrol bounties work now? Sammy had the Cosmodrome patrols, and we ran them together. After the first three, we split up to do our own things, but I kept running the Patrols for her. But after running about ten or so, she checked her Bounty and it said that she only had 3 of 6 Patrol missions done. We tried different things to fix it, but it stayed stuck, even after going to orbit and coming back... Might be a bug.
And because INSANEdrive hasn't experienced it, while doing the Patrols, I decided to film the Archon encounter, which was oddly tougher than normal (the Archon usually dies before taking two steps away from his hole).

Thank You!
Was this just added? Every time I've done this bounty in particular it's just been a vandal. This would have been a nice surprise the first time. (Then again... "rare Archon mission".)

It's been there since launch, but I don't know if they intended it to be as is, since it's labeled improperly... It'd be neat if they integrated it into an Eris-like multi-step bounty...

That will be the only enemy that has the chance to drop Husk of the Fallen, which you have to upgrade for the next Raid Exotic..

Not that anyone's bitter.....
(I still have no husk of the pit. Will probably be swimming in Cruxs. Oh irony.)
Well...

No. Then it would just be another run of the mill do this for X. Can we please just have something because... its fun? Just. Fun. No "Rewards" other then the satisfaction of kicking serious ass.
This is cool because it is unexpected (though this in particular also has the added benefit of "E3 Hype" all over it). Just like when the enemy attacks one another or when a pack of pikes spawned originally before we knew they were part of the public event system. RNG that shit - when you enter an area you have a chance for X. Make things more interesting then being able to set my watch to Destiny.
Surprise me - Battle is NEVER routine. At least - that's the plan.

I hit it for the first time (that I remember) last night after the Devil Walker. I picked it up just wondering if I might happen to get something other than the Vandal or the Servitor (I already had my 6 bounties complete), and I was happy to see that I got it!

Dayum! I've had a ten point game. Never had a five point game though.

Filthy. Just filthy.

It's always worth picking up those VIP bounties because they are worth double the faction rep (100 instead of 50).

It is indeed always worth picking up the VIP patrols because of extra rep -- but Isn't it only 25 faction rep (for the VIP missions) instead of the normal 10 (for the other types of patrols)?

31 instead of 25 if you've done the Nightfall.

Yeah, I just didn't want to spend the extra words to go that extra step down the rabbit hole (partially because I couldn't remember how much rep you get for the normal patrols with the Nightfall buff -- so it was easier to just use the base values of 10 and 25 instead of ?? and 31)

12 and 31.
Yeah, That's The One.
I came in and I was like, "No shit! I didn't expect this!"
I felt pretty good after that--it's basically like Bungie had more and more surprises for me.
