Are you a striker titan? Want to know where to throw lightening grenades? Watch a lot of this dude's videos. He's not the most team oriented player, but I've learned a great deal from his grenade placement:

funny I saw this the other day and wondered how the hell the morons on the other team didn't move from these grenades. They are good placement but every time I do that, the other team doesn't sit there and get hit a second time

Twilight Gap is probably his best map (he loves that stairway coming up to the center from A). Part of it is understanding when people are likely to stand still. When he sees the enemy capping A, he sprints to get that grenade down because someone capping a point is very likely going to stay put and hunker down to try and cap it. He also attacks in tandem with the grenade; his enemy is usually focused on him before the grenade has begun to fire.

My favorite is point B on that map. People like to cluster there and then hide behind the metal grate\wall thing when there is trouble.
I like to approach from the center top walkway, and throw a lightning grenade on the opposite wall- it essentially pins them there to fry, especially if you have your Titan's skill tree set to have aftershocks on. If anything does survive, it's an easy clean up.
(Rev History lesson: Since the days of Goldeneye I've always been fascinated by videogame grenade and explosive physics. Learning how to effective use level geometry to bounce grenades and surprise an opponent helped me 'get' geometry and angles in math class.
-bouncing grenades around corners with the GoldenEye grenade launcer or Perfect Dark super Dragon...
-the surface play of grenades in Halo 3, using opposite angles for spike grenades for surprise kills
- learning how to run from an opponent and bounce a grenade behind you as you flee, killing them
I made a LOT of my childhood friends mad haha)

I'm gettin' all nostalgic for those proximity mine games where the map would just be covered in them and when someone finally set them off the whole world burned in a super-slow-mo domino effect. GoldenEye was the best.

Oh man, the waft killing you through walls... putting proxy mines on an ammo box and then picking up the box before the mine armed to make the mine invisible... Shooting body armor so whoever picked it up got almost no armor from it... The magnum being able to shoot through doors. I had some GREAT games of golden eye back in the day. We actually got a cable splitter and split the signal to two TVs and then covered half of each TV so we couldn't see where the other team was. So fun!

Yea at the start of the map that is easy. I do the same thing all the time on C coming from the bottom. I like the Defender version as well, would be surprised how many people just move forward thinking it's on the floor.

He also uses Armamenterium, and having two lightening grenades go down simultaneously really helps. Basically two hits back to back, which kills unshielded enemies. No time to run.

Exactly. When I feel like playing that way, i always go with that exotic.
What shotgun is that?

Kills from a mile away? Holy balls.

It's a Felwinter.

I would assume it has shot package and possibly an additional range perk.

Mine has a range identical to Found Verdict, but then has Rangefinder on top of that. You get a very narrow spread that can kill at a pretty crazy range, but if you don't center it perfectly on a target, you won't kill them even if they're a foot away.
Trade-off, but not one I enjoy.

Could have rolled send it, too?
by iconicbanana, C2-H5-OH + NAD, Portland, OR, Thursday, March 19, 2015, 20:36 (3784 days ago) @ Korny
I think that's in the legendary shotgun pool? Maybe it's Hammer Forged.

Shotguns get Hammer Forged, not Send It
by Kahzgul, Friday, March 20, 2015, 02:04 (3784 days ago) @ iconicbanana
But they do basically the same thing.
I have a Felwinter's with Field Choke, Shot Package, and Hammer Forged. The range is absurd. But, well, the rate of fire leaves something to be desired. I prefer my Secret Handshake.

To be precise: Only Found Verdict has "Send It"

In the same way that Fatebringer is the only Handcannon with firefly.

What has more range? Yours or a Found Verdict with Send It?

RNGeesus has decreed that I shall never receive weapons from VoG. To date, in what must be 20+ runs, I have gotten 2 Hezen's Vengeance and 1 Praedith's Revenge. I have never received the helm or arms either. VoG gives me shards, and that is all. Well, and the gorgon chest gives me exotics and cloaks (5 goddamn cloaks so far). I've gotten two timebreakers from Aetheon Hard Mode, but nothing I'd call "worth the effort."
So yeah, I can't really compare to Found Verdict.

This really helped me

I ran my striker Titan the last day in the IB as a 29 and did a good job holding my own. This vid was actually invaluable to me. Putting these grenades on the walls and not the floor has drastically improved their effectiveness and has gotten me quite a few postmortems as I chuck a grenade to a wall or ceiling as I near my demise.

The wall strat works great for tripmines, too.

Especially on control points. I never put tripmines on the floor anymore; I think they have a similar radius to the lightening grenades, and seem to do damage cylindrically rather than spherically. Walls next to or above doorways/chokepoints are perfect.
