DBO does Iron Banner *VIDS* (Destiny)
You ever have one of those matches where you get stomped right from the get-go, and you can't seem to find your groove?
We had those same symptoms on one of our final matches last night, but as always, Team DBO never gives up, and never surrenders! Define: clutch.
Literally one second longer, and it would have had a much different outcome. Also, reminds me of the match that I had last week.
- On another note, Sammy was having some frustrations with her unleveled gear in Iron Banner, so we swapped places, and she got to use the Hawkmoon, Feitwinter's Lie, and Jolder's Hammer for the first time.
The result? An 8.33 K/D. She wants a Hawkmoon.
Took her a couple of minutes to get used to things, but once she got going...
- I had fun on her account, too, and got my best Titan moment yet:
- Speaking of firsts, this IB was also the first time that I ever used a Bladedancer in Crucible (also the first time that I forced myself to get good at using Blink). It's a very different experience, with a wealth of tactics and fun (I used an entire Blade Dance at one point just to chase one guy down all around the map; it was great) at my disposal. It also helped me get a 26 kill spree, which was fun.
- And lastly, I think this was my final game, but also one of the most fast-paced experiences that I can recall having in Destiny. It also highlights how awesome Feltwinter's Lie can be with the right roll (check out how I open the game with three shotgun kills at long range).
Great times with good people. Looking forward to the next one.
