I've been completely sold on Warframe for a while, and I've kinda had fun when I've tried to play alone. I think the learning curve is too steep due to the factors you've cited and I think I'd need a personal trainer to condition me into the proper cadence of how to play it.

It seems like an awful lot to invest time into and keep track of, but it looks like a lot of fun.
