I just don't see how Batman can compete with Superman.
In almost 70 years of comics (and cartoons), Superman has only defeated Batman one time (two if you count Red Son). Superman may be nigh-invincible and a genius, but Batman is a genius, prepared, and clever. Superman tends not to plan out his encounters, which when you're fighting Batman will cost you.
