Auto Pistol as a special weapon (Destiny)
So in the stream someone was using a Scout rifle, then switched and suddenly had that automatic style pistol with the sliding action. I could clearly see it in the HUD as a second weapon, so it had to be a special, but I didn't really see him use it much. Does this mean we are getting a new weapon type in HoW?

According to images in the threads below this one, it's classified as a "Sidearm" and is indeed a Special. It's a Legendary, making it the first non-exotic in the game to be in a slot separate from other weapons in its class (although, being a Sidearm, it makes sense for it to be a secondary weapon).
It does make you wonder about new weapon classes that we could see in the future (grenade launcher, anyone?)...

I'm thinking more like Halo (4?) pistol where you could fire it as fast as you could pull the trigger, but it's aim was shit because of it.

I'm pretty sure I heard Gothalion say today that it is not fully automatic.
Vaguely reminded of Goldeneye's Moonraker.
Not as good, obviously, but still. Memories.
It also kind of reminded me of those blasters from Jetforce Gemini, but the hell if I'm posting some grainy video from a dude's camcorder. 1999 did not age well on youtube.

I would go nuts if Bungie included a Reach-style grenade launcher, it would be tons of fun to use.
