Can we have this please?
I don't want anything that actually looks like sandwich boards, but if the Tower is supposed to be the meeting ground for the friendless, give us a way to communicate.
It could be a simple as text appended to the popovers when we peruse the roster, e.g., "need help with Urzok."

My Warlock still hasn't run through all the Eris stuff, so I'd definitely be up for some Urzok hunting once I get to that point.

As for sandwich boards, I'm on board 100%. I'd have mine say "butt salad" or something juvenile but amusing the whole time, but that would be part of the fun. Just watch out for Chris's after a bad crucible round.

Yeah, that's why they won't implement it.
It doesn't even have to be editable text, though. It could be an option on the popover for bounties or locations that says "Request assistance" and then would populate the appropriate text for your public message.
EDIT: You could mark it for friends or public, and whoever could see it could join you.
I miss Service Tags too. :(

I'd love to just set mine to "LFG" in the tower and see what happens.
Destiny's player marker UI seems like a pretty big step down from Halo in general.
It would probably work pretty well.

Me and Probably Last sometimes invite everyone in the tower to our fireteam, and it would fill in maybe 80 seconds. Of course, we don't do anything, but you know. It's an option.

Man, that was the most fun I've had in a while! So intense.
