I guess I don't know what you guys are doing to get so much loot!

Lots of mark/rep prep (edging several factions to near max and coming in with 200/200 vanguard/crucible marks) and loot key farming.

I didn't really prep much at all and I had hit 33 yesterday just by buying new gear, ascending exotic armor and getting one piece of armor from PoE. And all it took was most of my dignity and sanity. I assume Uno has none of those at this point.

Here is my haul so far:

Weapons:
- Deadshot Luna SR1 w/ Full Auto, Explosive Rounds x2
- Final Rest II w/ Feeding Frenzy, Reinforced Barrel, Rangefinder
- Vestian Dynasty x2
- Violator XII, NM Sniper (need to reforge)
- Patience and Time
- The Frenzy (FWC Fusion Rifle)
- Her Right Hand (need to reforge)

Hunter Gear: (Now my FWC character)
- FWC Gauntlets, Chest, Boots, Cape
- NM Cape
- Carnivore Match Gauntlets
- Saction Six Gauntlets
- Elector's Mask

Warlock Gear:
- Talion Grace Boots
- Elector's Gloves

Titan Gear:
- Insurmountable Skullfort
- Elector's Greaves
- Commando Custom Chest
- Holborn's Host Mark

I have almost upgraded all of my exotics that are in permanent rotation. I just need some more weapon parts to finish things off. That said, having 3 365 Gjallahorns is awesome :)

These posts are insane. The expansion has been live for less than 24 hours. I have yet to see a single Etheric Light, and I had no exotic shards when things dropped, so there are no upgrades available to me.

One treasure key dropped yesterday (it's a standard reward for the story series).

My total weapon haul is the stuff the story missions give everyone (Vestian Dynasty might be the only weapon) and the Plan C that dropped during the nightfall (so I've got a single shard so far). I've got enough coins to buy 4 more shards on Friday - but I have dozens and dozens of weapons and armor pieces that will NOT be upgraded until I get a boatload of Etheric Light... which (if yesterday's drop rate is any indication) might be a while.

I didn't get any Etheric light yesterday either, but I haven't played any PoE yet. Speedracer got 1 from the nightfall.

The Cryptarch packages I got yesterday were insane- I got 3 legendary engrams from one, and 2 from another.

I've already sharded at least 5 new legendary weapons.

I had a lot of stuff stockpiled from simply not playing, honestly.

In the last two weeks I've had a spike in my Destiny play time, and I spent like 14 hours playing on Sunday (rainy, preventing me from working, made the most of it). Other than that, I'd get on once a week and run the nightfall, so I've got a ton of shards piled up.

I also don't hoard exotics. I shard the ones I know aren't my thing (such as patience and time) and the ones I'm not sure of, I level them enough to get the signature perk. If I like it, I keep it, if not, I trash it. So I had 10 or so exotic shards waiting for me.

Tons of motes too.

I think Bungie has made some smart choices with regards to getting people to spend their materials that have been piling up.

I don't have any etheric light, if that helps!

I simply play way too much

what I actually did is this:
- I hedged all of the factions to with in 30 rep of leveling up. (5 faction packages for each character)
- I saved all cryptarch packaged from the last two months (they dropped TDB engrams unfortunately)
- I had Marks on all characters at 200 each for Vanguard and Crucible
- Glimmer capped at 25,000
- I have something like 39 crucible commendations and 20 some vanguard commendations. I used these to power level faction rep after doing nightfall for additional packages.
