Got Destroyed in ToO (Destiny)

Me, Blue, and Disciple had a rough first go at Trials. 0 Wins 4 losses. I think we only won 5 rounds out of all 4 matches. Can't really explain it. Level difference did seem to make a small difference.

Darn shame...

Any weapons stick out more than others?
Any dominant class?
Darn shame...

Mythoclast, Thorn, Last Word. And an occasional person using Praedyth's Revenge. And the same map over and over? Pretty lame. But other than that, I've enjoyed only winning once. :P

Thorn was very popular. Blue noticed it was one shotting him from the level 33's and 34's. I was surprised I didn't see a Red Death. I had better luck with my up for anything though.
Also, We saw mostly hunters, but I don't think any one class is really that much better. I would think GG would be the best super. But being able to res is pretty good too I suppose.
I think my biggest beef is the radar. I really don't think there should be any radar.
Me, too.

0-4, wait...1-4. No, wait...1-6?
Yuck. Definitely got better as it went along. Thorn. Thorn, everywhere. Agree that there were tons of Hunters, but maybe Titans too. Hmmmm...team flanking was key. A great sniper helps too.
Supers didn't matter until the end. Eh, I don't know. One-trick pony has one trick.

Darn shame...

Thorn was 2 shotting me from level 34s. If tow guys fired at me at the smell time I didn't have a chance. I think I'll hold off until I level up.
Darn shame...

I didn't even think this was possible in Destiny...

Lol. Stupid phone. I usually catch stuff like that. Autocorrect can be your worst enema sometimes.
I see what you did there

We went on a 6 or 7 game skid. Talk about depressing.
0-3, 0-3, 2-3 here, with a pretty solid team of generally great players. Thorn everywhere. I was using Hawkmoon, Praedith's Revenge, and Jolder's Hammer for the two shutout losses, then switched to blade dancer blink-shotgun using Timur's Lash, Secret Handshake, and Gjallerhorn. Next time around I'm going with Universal Remote, Secret Handshake, Jolder's Hammer. Wish I'd thought of that the last set of games; running out of shotgun ammo is super frustrating.
In fact, running out of special ammo in ToO is too easy since it doesn't replenish between matches. I spend as much time tying to get ammo as I do trying to give it to the enemy.
Yup

Rushing to the special ao at the end of the round is annoying, because you only get a few seconds. Trying to stop and collect it during a match is terrifying though.
I feel like its an intentionally tough decision though - I don't hate it.

Cheating or bad network? I'm not sure.

Anyone else having problems with enemies not taking damage?
We've run into this several times, and it's making Trials of Osiris exceptionally frustrating. On two separate occasions, I've hit enemies with a rocket launcher, only to have them shrug it off like nothing happened. One yesterday was a direct hit on a mid-air Titan (not smashing or anything, just jumping), and another was today when my rocket should have had a double-kill (landed between them, 5 feet apart from one another), but NOPE. On both occasions, the enemy didn't even lose shield. :-\
And I'm seeing similar things with primary and secondary weapons, too. MIDA just flat-out stops doing damage sometimes. A guy got away earlier when I put three shots into him without effect as he ran away. Praedyth's headshot does zilch. Other weapons behave similarly.
I've heard that there's some network cheat/glitching advice going around Reddit, but I haven't looked into it. Is this what the behavior looks like? If not, then the networking code is not living up to expectations. I'm sitting on a very solid connection right now and there's no reason why I should be experiencing any kind of network troubles.
I'm enjoying the game mode quite a bit, but I'm very much disliking losing when it feels like it's completely out of our control. There are certainly games where we get stomped, and that's fair, but point-blank shotgunning an enemy and having them walk away and res their teammate is not okay.

I've had more than one round where none of my weapons did any damage. 5 sniper shots to the dome... nothing. It's a problem I had during the last Iron Banner, too, and it's game breaking imo. There's nothing worse that firing a perfect kill shot and dealing no damage, only to be counter-killed a second later, especially in an elimination game type.

Did you notice lag switch?

Did you enter green-bar only to see your opponents red-barring by the end? There are certainly ways to introduce latency on command if you're the unscrupulous type.

There were a couple games where lag got ridiculous for no particular reason, so that could be one explanation. I'm expecting that Bungie is quietly recording a pile of evidence against these jackasses to swing the Banhammer. I'm hoping it happens before next weekend, though…
It feels a lot like playing Halo 2 against modders, and it sucks. Ruins the experience for me. :(

I wouldn't expect anything soon.

Considering Valve has never fixed CS exploitations, I wouldn't expect Bungie to solve that one any time soon.
