When this weekend started, I had no intention of running through the Trials of Osiris. Super competitive PvP event, without skill-based matchmaking? That sounds a little rough for my tastes...

And then I did it. Twice.

I tuned in to watch one of my favourite Destiny PvP streamers take part, and saw the lighthouse open up. Suddenly, I wasn't quite so reserved. I saw Cruel was looking for another partner, and jumped at it.

He's much better with words than I am, so I'll direct you to his post if you want to read up on it.

That was easily the most intense and stressful event in my entire time playing Destiny. By the time we had reached 6/9 wins, it felt like HOURS had passed. Each game was an event unto of itself. This was several orders of magnitude more stressful than the weeks we put into our VoG Flawless Raider attempts... Perhaps because it was so condensed?

But in the end, we made it.

I wasn't so hot on the armor when it was first revealed. It looks better in person:

Sammy and Korny were looking for a third last night just as I got on. Somehow, I couldn't bring myself to refuse.

"Regarding my performance: No promises," I told them-

It was even more stressful than the first time round, especially after we lost our mercy boon when a highly-coordinated team steam-rolled us. After 7 wins, we decided to take a break and run through a Dragon Strike just to cool off a bit.

but again, we made it to the lighthouse.

I don't know if I'll be trying again next week. The rewards are great, but the cost to your mental state is a bit steep.
