These Titan gloves are the firet piece of Exotic armor I've even considered wearing since Destiny came out. Why? Because of the Wrath Condutor ability:

Taking damage from a melee attack deals damage in an area around you

Sounds great! But... what does that really mean? After a bit of power leveling I've found out. When you take a hit wearing these gloves it triggers what seems to be something similar to a Striker's Discharge Storm Fist ability. You get a 360 degree arc burst centered on you which damage everyone within say a Warlock's punching range. The damage dealt is perhaps slightly less than Dischage as it will not kill any unit I am aware of. Instead it deals about half damage to the Thrall in the Crota's End Abyss. I could see these just being generally useful in tense PvE situations as anything that punches you but doesn't kill you will take decent damage and get thrown back far enough for you to evade.

In the Crucible, these gloves are interesting though maybe not the best choice. You will be able to one punch something as a Striker, assuming your Storm Fist ability is charged. Once the enemy punches you back they will die... If you survive the punch. The Wrath Conductor ability takes a slight moment to activate, long enough that you won't be getting non-laggy post mortems, and they also have a short reset of a second or two, so they won't protect you and kill your enemies if two people punch you close together or something. I've yet to try these on a Defender, but a bubble with Armor of Light + these gloves might be pretty powerful. Maybe.

Has anyone else tried these out? What do you think?

My Verdict: I'm going to keep using these a while longer to get an even better feel for their performance but may return them in favor of my Death From Above granting helmet.

Next up: Khepri's Sting (I'm really excited by the possibilities of these... once I get them leveled!)

If Storm Fist is not charged, is one melee and One self-defense burst not enough to kill your opponent?

I don't think so. It's a bit hard to test... people supering me three times in a row when I want them to punch me, etc, but I think you need a charged punch and not to die from the return punch to get the kill.

...within say a Warlock's punching range.

So...everyone on a map would get hit?

At least! You might kill people on other maps! :)
