How do YOU trials? (Destiny)

Just wondering how everyone plays the trials. Whats your GOTO. What do you try and stay away from. Ill begin.
Hello my name is TheeChaos,
I enjoy the hallway by the waterfall. I usually just snipe in the other side while my teamates go through the left hallway. If I get one I will stay scoped in on the dead ghost while the others move up. If they rez I will take him out while he is in the animation lock. Once they are in position I will move up as well.
Issues with this:
Supers, If the other team has any super we are dead because of the narrow corridor. IDK how many times we get down there down to 1 person then get hit by a super. THis works both ways however. just more so in the other teams favor.

Granted, I've only completed 2 cards TOTAL (didn't have gear/teams to play the first weekend), and those didn't go so well... 4-3 and 0-3... so I'm very curious to read others advice.
I'd also be curious to know WHEN y'all play who seem to do so well. I've heard reports of people having a great 9-0 run in the morning or early day, only to get steamrolled themselves later that night. Don't know that it's entirely relevant, but I'm curious.

I forgot to put class. I do best with Warlock Class. 2x firebolt grenades are a GREAT way to kill the corner camper with a shotgun without exposing yourself.
I play in the evenings. Its hit or miss. Sometimes I do well sometimes I suck. Othertimes the other team sucks othertimes the other team obliterates me.
I rarely have good games. Either we steamroll them or they steamroll us.

I totally hate Felwinter. But I would totally use it to win. Thats the thing about the trials, they encourage you to win by whatever means. So dont feel bad. Its only unfair when the enemy team has it.

Felwinter's RoF is too low, and with Shot Package you don't really need all that Impact. I die a lot because I can't nail a second kill fast enough. If I can get a Queen's Shotgun with Full Auto, increased Range and Shot Package I'd drop Felwinter in an instant.

Seriously. With the right perks, you can get the same range/impact as the felwinters, but double the RoF. The only downside is that it holds 4 shells instead of 6.

I use it from time to time and It doesnt hit as hard as my found verdict! thats in regular crucible.
Also, you can't roll Shot-package AND Full-Auto

I'm still trying to figure things out myself.
I typically run the following in PvP.
Gunslinger
Symbiote Helm (or Mask of the Third Man for the intellect boost)
Thorn, Efrideet's Spear or Praedyth's Revenge, Radegast's Fury w/ Horseshoes and Hand Grenades + Field Scout.
I think I'm typically a decent PvP player (1.72 k/d on my hunter) but I have been steamrolled over and over. Last week Funkmon, ProbablyLast and I managed to go 8-0 (Last went 9-0, why didn't I buy the +1 start boon?!?!), that was my ONLY good run in the last two weeks. In fact, ToO has been pretty soul crushing in general.
I wish you luck on figuring stuff out. I know I'll be doing the same.

...But that may be just me. Going 8-0 is 2 etheric lights, the weekly weapon and armor, and something fun and random that is hopefully good in the 8 win package. It's not the lighthouse, but it's not nothing.
But then I'm in a bit of a different boat I guess. If the only thing you care about is the lighthouse I guess none of that matters anyway. For the moment I'm enjoying the ride, I'll get to the lighthouse when I get to it. I just feel like it's being oversold a little. Sure it's cool and sure, the drops would be nice. I see it as an end, and once you hit it a week or two, could turn into a bit of a grind.
Wouldn't necessarily disagree with you.
But damn, when you get that close, and the rest of your fireteam does make it...that's pretty rough.

The best I went this week was 4-3. The rest of my experiences have been 1-3, 2-3, 3-3, 2-4, etc..... it's been very rough when I think I'm at least a decent PvP Player.

Couldn't you have bought the boon for double on your next win again at some point? I feel like you can buy that one as many times a card as you want, am I wrong about that?

Queens RL w tripod and horseshoes
I feel like Invective is the best shotgun for me and I really started playing better when I used it. I'm gonna try to roll the dry rot 32 shotty for full auto cuz it has a better ROF, then I can switch back to an exotic primary. Mythoclast 365 worked pretty well, but I don't really have an exotic primary I love.
I'll eventually swap to my hunter because it's statistically my best class. Just need 1 more etheric light.
