The difference between 34 and 33 was one damage number when firing on 34s. This means it's practically impossible to have it make a difference. They MIGHT survive a tripmine though. At 32, I was getting 82 damage per thorn headshot, iirc, but getting 6 on a tick. I don't remember if that was enough to kill people in two, but I think it wasn't.

Anyway, we've won Trials easy enough without a full set of 34s.
