Is it just me, or did House of Wolves introduce a healthy batch of fantastic auto rifles into the game? In crucible and PvE I'm finding my new ARs out perform any of the other ARs in my collection, including Suros Regime.

My favorite of the bunch is the Trials of Osiris auto rifle: The Summoner.

Handles like a dream, shoots straight, hits hard. Been having loads of fun with this in the Crucible. At the right range, kill times are roughly on par with Thorn or Hawkmoon. It doesn't have quite the range that the hand cannons do, but it is better when fighting crowds in tight spaces. You can line your sites up to headshot level, and strafe-fire across multiple targets, downing them in a hurry. If the next Trials of Osiris map doesn't feature such long sight lines, I will seriously consider using this bad boy.

Next up, the Low Down P-XIV.

A high Rate of fire/low impact rifle. Usually the kind of weapon I avoid. But this beauty fires with more accuracy and stability than any weapon of its archetype that I've tried. Burns down enemies in PvE, and I could even see it being useful in mid-close range PvP encounters.

My 3rd new Auto Rifle is the Pest Control Matrix.

Very similar overall handling and stopping power as The Summoner, but just not quite as strong. On the plus side, mine has the Army of One perk which makes it a great PvE weapon. Tearing through lower level ads keeps my grenade and melee abilities charging at lightning speeds, so I have more tools at my disposal on a regular basis. Also a perfectly competent PvP weapon.

These are just the examples I've come across so far. It seems to me that we may have gotten the AR buff we were hoping for in a round about way; No changes to AR base stats, but we've got a bunch of great new ARs to choose from.

Anyone else come across any new Auto Rifles they enjoy?
