I want to try the reset glitch and need to know whether to set an alarm for 3:45am (Central time). Also need to try to remember which character I leveled up last time...

It was 1.2.0:
"Fixed a bug where players were able to obtain Iron Banner weapons according to the rank of their previous Iron Banner"

Again, do you have a link? Because NEITHER the patch notes for 1.2.0 nor 1.2.0.1 (both of which I just read three times) say ANYTHING like that.
I remember this but also can't find it.

Yeah, nothing even similar appears in the Patch Notes all the way back to when they revamped Iron Banner. Similarly, nada for the Weekly Updates. The closest thing I found was when they mentioned a start time for Iron Banner:
The next Iron Banner will begin at 10AM Pacific on Tuesday, April 28th.
Edit: Ah, here's what happened apparently: That line was included in leaked 1.2.0 patch notes and picked up by IGN, but it is not present in the actual, official patch notes. People were still able to cheese the system last time, correct? So it seems that change was never implemented for whatever reason... that we know of, at least.

While doing all that poking around in the archives I was struck by just how much Destiny has changed since launch. Obviously, we have The Dark Below and House of Wolves, but it was kinda neat reading back to the big weapon rebalance, the heavy ammo fix, the introduction of the Tumbler, the Raid fixes, Iron Banner 2.0, etc. Yeah, I wish the game had started out more like it is now, but Bungie's level of commitment is kinda striking when compared to most every other game I own.
One thing in particular stuck out to me. In the last patch notes it says:
Fixed an issue that caused players to wait an excessively long time to respawn
I think this is referring to those times where the Crucible would seem to cue up respawns and not get around to them for several seconds... And, of course, it'd usually leave the enemy team alive and let them capture key zones while your entire team rotted in Ghost suspended limbo, or so it seemed. But now, thinking about it, I don't believe that's happened to me for quite a while. I just find that small fix pretty cool... in a "I hardly noticed" kind of way.

Yeah, I know the patch goes live then, but Iron Banner is a separate thing. IB has never needed a patch to go live before...
