Iron Banner Glitch Worked!! (Destiny)

For all you naysayers out there that told me that the Iron Banner Glitch was patched out (especially those of you that "quoted" from sources that didn't exist), I thought I'd come report that it worked like it always has.
As reported in the Weekly Update, he is selling boots and gloves (two pairs of each - one set with scout rifle perks and the other with auto rifle perks), the Perun's Fire fusion rifle (that comes stock with the Rangefinder and Hidden Hand perks) and the Ghelon's Demise scout rifle (stock with Full Auto and Third Eye!!). If you ask me, those base perks are quite awesome. The armor pieces cost an even 5000 glimmer each and the weapons cost 7000 glimmer each.
I went ahead and picked up another Ghelon's Demise that I'm going to try with those perks it comes with. I also picked up the fusion rifle because I kinda started to fall in love with them again last night and am on a quest to find the fusion rifle with the fastest charge time available.
The class items are now different (and look way cooler in my opinion).
As for the Etheric Light, it shows up in the bottom-right slot and there is only one there that says it requires Rank 3 (and costs 5000 glimmer). As soon as you purchase it, it will have one more in that same slot (that requires Rank 5 and 5000 glimmer).
Finally, there are a few new bounties available; the one that stood out the most to me is "An Iron Grip" for participating in the capture of 15 Control zones.
Rewards are lvl32-tier, though ::sadface::

Range and Stability beat charge time any day. You can't outclass a shotgun unless you've got the range. I find send it pretty much mandatory.
worked for me (first time)
picked up both etheric lights and new boots. Didn't need new arms (they are only 36 without etheric light) but I liked the look and picked up some. Also decided to get the fusion rifle even though I don't like em. Also picked up the new Titan towel because it looks cool-hope you still get a boost to iron banner rep by equiping it. Won't do iron banner until tonight though.
Never been so happy to have depleted so much glimmer...

Now to decide what to apply my etheric light too on my titan. I applied one to my iron regala helmet because it has inverse shadow and I figure that is almost always useful. I need to pick a pair of legs though to ascend. The crota legs have heavy ammo boost so that's tempting, but the new iron banner legs I picked up today have a scout rifle perk which I use a lot. I have some boots with hand cannon and pulse rifle perks but I figure ascending them is not worth it since I don't use those weapons a lot.
Whatever I pick looks like I'll have to get used to using a lot if I want to remain 34 as etheric light doesn't normally drop for me much.

And I officially have the best wife EVAR!
I Facetime'd from work (on a break, I have some standards), and walked her through Orbit, gear swap, Tower...even redeeming some extra glimmer items that I preloaded my Hunter with! I'm now 2 Etheric Light richer with some new fancy boots and arms (cuz, why not?)
Now to play through and rank up again for more!
Seriously though : my wife ROCKS
P.S. Fatherly bonus: while on the FaceTime call our 2-yr'old says "peepee!" (while not wearing pants or diaper), and I got to congratulate my son on 1) recognizing the call of nature & 2) answering the call in the bathroom instead of a diaper (or the couch)!
It was a good call all'round. :)

I took an early lunch to go home and do the glitch. I was pretty happy to realize that you get a 250 glimmer per radiant/ascendant shard you turn in. I ended up with the following haul on my hunter.
New Cape (now with a frilly neck!)
2x Gauntlets
2x Boots
Perun's Fire (great default perks)
Gheleon's Demise (great default perks)
Gold Spiral x2 (give to my other characters )
Million Million (gave to my Warlock)
2x Etheric Light
The new hunter items look freaking amazing (especially w/ million million) and the default gun perks are great. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get a efrideet's spear to drop as a reward. Hidden Hand, Hand-Laid Stock, Unflinching sounds nice on this if I can get one.
You weren't wrong about that spending spree.
