Words cannot express my frustration with IB (Destiny)
Missed out on teams with my buddies, so I went in solo. Every other game I drop into a team that is already losing, by a fair amount. Can't get to the heavy ammo, barely get one super in the whole game, constantly double teamed, you know, the usual. I tough it out just for the medallions, and luckily two games ended up giving me a whole team from the start and we eked out a win so I could cash in.
It is amazingly frustrating to get shafted from the get go by poor matchmaking. Especially so when I'm on the clock.

You are on PS4? The Chaos, Destroyoboy and I had a great run tonight. I think we went 7-0. We're probably going to play tomorrow. Hop on and join. The more people you have going in with you, the less likely you'll join a game in progress.
Sorry I never got to play with you guys
Every time someone left my group another one joined.

Once you stop caring about losing, it's fine.
I play for the bounties. Once I do the bounties (with the exception of the 10 kill one, since that is rare enough to not try for), I'm done. Usually, a few of those games we win, so I don't lose any medallions.
If you don't care about win/loss and take encounters for what they are, it's not so bad.

I'm an XB1 east coaster, so I usually miss out on the DBO groups. One of these days I'll manage to hook up for some fun though.

This is great advice
I also used to get extremely frustrated with Iron Banner, due to constantly getting matched with uneven teams. But once you realize you don't actually need to win to progress, it gets a lot better. Focus on completing bounties, then stop for the day.

Its no worries. Maybe today will be better!
You dont have to win a single match if you do the bounties
I did the math last time. You can lose every single game and still hit rank 5 by Sunday

Thorn + Sniper + HMG = easy to do. Since assists count towards the defeating 10 guardians Thorn makes this fairly easy if you just hang back and play defensively.

I actually get the 10 kill bounty solo almost every day. I hardly ever get it when I play with DBOers. I don't know why.
I play by myself if I want the bounties done as quickly as possible. I play with DBOers to get wins. I wish I could make it work at the same time :)

I don't use Thorn as often anymore, I've been using Vex Mythoclast (and have never had it bug out on me) but this is how I run in IB as well.

Probably a symptom of going up against stacks, not randoms.

Your opponents are more likely to play strategically and call out an entrenched positions when you play with 4 or 5 DBOers. More likely to be flanked as a result when you're trying to sit back, or focus you down during a super.

I do better solo.

This is probably why I do better when I play solo crucible, also, I'm matched up with people closer to my play level. ;)

Me, too.

Tho' I probably WIN more w/ DBO.

Not For Me.
Joining a game with a 15 thousand point trail, playing with inbreds who run right past enemy control points, throwing an Axion Bolt in a room full of low-health enemies and seeing it fizzle into a little shit, watching your bounties plummet because Atheon's Epilogue is the only gun in the solar system that doesn't insta-kill, spawning in the exact same area over and over and over and over and over, spawning further and further away from 'B' each time, getting teabagged, standbyed, getting no heavy ammo because of campers with infinite heavy ammo, getting no special ammo because there's only one box on the map and your teammates selfishly scoop it up for themselves(thanks again Bungie, for somehow managing to screw that up, too) and watching assholes who camp with a Felwinter's Lie get ANOTHER Felwinter's Lie as a reward while you get useless bonds may be 'fine' for you, but all that is shit I don't need.
I can lose at normal Crucible all I want. I DO lose at normal Crucible all I want. I mean, I don't want to lose, but it's typically all I get.
You may get progress from losing too, but not enough. Not to mention, it's just damn demoralizing, whether you care or not.
Earlier today, I watched an enemy Titan cast Ward of Dawn, and then use Fist of Havoc--less than six seconds apart.
That sound fine to you?
Funkmon, I'm sorry but I have to ask--how do you feel about the Trials of Osiris?
POST EDIT: Now I should say this, so there's no confusion: The second I finish with Void Damage, I'll switch back to Sunsinger with Gift of the Fusion, and I will DUAL-WIELD Last Word and Thorn so I can cheat just as good as everybody else, but the point of this rant is: When you lose every time you play, you don't want to play.
Not For Me.
You seem like you're not having fun, so not playing is the right choice for you - I'm totally with you on that.

This doesn't only not sound fine, it doesn't sound possible. Using Ward of Dawn wipes out your super counter - but even if somehow didn't, swapping subclasses wipes your super counter (and your melee counter, and your grenade counter). There's absolutely no way to do this (even if you're standing in a pool of orbs) in 6 seconds.
Sounds to me like something else happened (like, maybe, two teammates cast supers at the same time).
::shrug::

I mean to be fair...

That would be crazy-quick thinking if someone pulled it off. Like, I wouldn't be angry if someone pulled that, I'd just be impressed.

I can't even get the menu to load in six seconds! :p

One more thing us 360 people don't need to worry about!

Should've Seen The Look On My Face.
There's no Game DVR for that. :-)
I can only assume(or at least hope) that there were a bunch of orbs nearby or something. When I'm in PvE, if there are a lot of orbs on the floor, I'll use my super, then grab 'em for a quick recharge.

It Could Even Have Been External.
I can't count how many times I use my SmartGlass app on my iPhone to record clips from the MCC without having to stop/double Guide. Keep it on a table right next to my hand, Auto-Lock off, boom. With all the Destiny Inventory Insta-Move apps on nearly every platform imaginable, he might have set a loadout--no need to even pause(including 360 people).

Wait, you can change sublasses remotely? AWESOME!

Trials is not for everyone. Neither is Iron Banner.
I go into trials looking to get the armor piece. That's not simple. You have to communicate well, get buff lucky, and also be pretty good. Getting to the lighthouse is difficult, and so is getting the 8 win reward. I never expect these things, I just hope.
Trials, generally, doesn't frustrate me, but it does excite me in clutch moments. It puts a lot of pressure on a person, and that is exhausting. I'll probably quit doing it at some point as fewer and fewer bad players even try. I would suggest everyone TRY trials, but there are some who shouldn't play it regularly. Those who care about losing quite a bit are the main ones.
Iron banner is far more forgiving than Trials, however.
Iron Banner just requires about a 20% win percentage. This is low. This is so low that it's difficult to string together that many random games and continue losing. Last night, we lost 4 in a row, but I can lose another one and win one and still have lost almost no rep. Or, we can lose every game and do the bounties. Zero problem hitting rank 5.
I suggested to someone on this forum that he try some crucible events (he is a purely pve player) with the "stop caring about losing" technique, and he said "I can try, but I will still care just enough to be frustrated." "Ahh, well shit. Don't play then."
If you can't get past caring "just enough," you definitely shouldn't bother. Honestly. If you aren't having fun, don't play that part of the game. And, if it's one of the last things that interests you in Destiny, then move on and play another game, or build something, or fix the deck, or buy a basketball hoop and get fit outside. Destiny will still be there to have fun with. You don't have to do everything every time.

Not For Me.
Running with Obsidian Mind, I did three Nova Bombs in about 30 seconds due to a good pile of orbs on the B capture point on Anomaly. Twas fun for me :)
you should probably win 1 in 6 games just to redeem medalion

I hate to rain on your parade, but I have yet to see an inventory manager that can actually EQUIP a whole loadout at once. The ones I've tried will only transfer the loadout to your inventory. You CAN equip individual items via mobile (the official app will do that, too) so it's possible they could have swapped subclasses that way.
Of course, that still ignores the issue of the super bar getting reset when a super is cast - the only way around that would have been to have enough orbs present to fully recharge their super. It seems unlikely to me that there would actually be so many orbs right together in PvP.

I tried it, you can change subclasses with the DIM.
Not sure if you can store them in a loadout though.
