Not likely to help. I have always had the same problem with my 360. I've tried different mics, different controllers, to no avail.

If he's like me, the problem is not the hardware exactly. What I eventually realized is that the 360 stops transmitting audio from your mic if the volume drops below a certain level. I tend to trail off in the middle of sentences, and then pick back up and finish them. So it cuts me off, and then doesn't start transmitting again quickly enough, and part of what I'm saying gets lost. The 360 just isn't compatible with the way I speak.

The XBone does this too (as do most Bluetooth headsets, by the way), but at least in my case, it's much better about letting me finish and seems to pick up more quickly. People don't have trouble hearing me the way they always did on 360.
